Does having sex really help Induce labor?

Who here has been or is almost 40 weeks pregnant and at least 1cm dialated with no contractions whatsoever and has had sex and actually helped induce labor? Or did something else that actually helped... I really wanna try to avoid being induced and my due date is supposed to be Sept 6th and no signs of LO wanting to come out yet 😪🤣

I don't know about sex but staying on my feet and keeping busy all day helped me and I mean from 9 in the morning until I went to bed.

Got up got
Had breakfast
Got washed/dressed
Done dishes
Walked to shops
Baked cakes most of the afternoon
Cooked dinner
Tidied house top to bottom
Packed hospital bag
Had a bath
Used birthing ball while watching TV
Went to bed

Waters broke at 10 am following morning.

Sex worked for me but I was a week overdue so could have just been coincidence x

Spicy food and sex is how I went into labor 😂

Yes. Semen helps. You orgasm, that helps. Nipple play helps. So work in all of these.

🙋🏼‍♀️39+1, we had sex and immediately after I started having contractions

Yeah it really does lol. I had sex the night before and the next morning I was in labor. All happened so fast. Lol

Walking helps as well

Worked for me! I was in active labor an hour later!

Had sex everyday for the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy my daughter came at 41 weeks lol. Worth a try I think different things work for different people x

Sex definitely helped me progress! My cervix was very thin but not dilated at 40 weeks. We had sex on day 40+5 and I started to see bits of my mucus plug a few hours later. I started to have some lower back pain throughout the next day and contractions started later that night.

As every one its saying sex and nipple stimulation (some woman pump), walk a lot and dance as well.

Emergency scan

Hi! I went to triage on Saturday night for reduced movement as I hadn’t felt baby all day. I was checked over with Doppler etc and sent on my way - midwife said everything was great.

I’ve just been called by the hospital that I’m booked in for an emergency scan and it’s just taken me by surprise. Has anyone else experienced this?

C section with a 2 Yr old

Please be honest how much of a struggle is this? I am worried, I'm currently 34 weeks but struggling to walk bc of my pelvis, it's already difficult having to run after her and with the tantrums etc
Any tips ??

How does everyone do it

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and have a 3 year old and I can’t even get out of bed without being sick, can’t even stand for longer than 2 minutes, my toddler is basically living on snacks as I can’t get out of bed to cook, I can’t even take him to nursery I feel terrible, I’m only 8 weeks and have so much longer to go 😭

Birth plan

Debating between natural birth vs C section.
Labour lengths, recovery times afterwards, control involved in a c section, pregnancy again after c sections.. give me your experiences/opinions. 😊
(Also, if the hospital was 1.5 hours away would that affect your decision)

Early labour?

Im really unsure if what I’m having is the start of labour or just digestive pains? I’ve been getting sharp/crampy pains across my abdomen and back which come and go every 10/15 mins, not really typical period like pains yet but they are very noticeable. I feel like it’s been getting more painful since this morning, but at the same time I’m having diarrhoea and nausea. The only difference I’ve noticed is the pain is not going away after going to the toilet or position changes. I’m going to call triage but I thought to wait and see a few more hours. BTW I’m 37 weeks
