Braxton hicks and little to no fetal movement

I have very mild braxton hicks but my baby girl hasnt moved since yesterday. Shes normally very active and through out the day she will usually kick or move around which is reassuring that things are fine. I’ve been to the hospital twice regarding reduced fetal movements and every time I went baby started moving and showed a strong heart beat. My husband thinks Im worrying too much and it could be baby sleeping or having a lazy day. But this is the second day. I’m worried that the hospital will think I’m a crazy lady for just coming in every other week and being paranoid. Does Braxton Hicks mean baby is moving and is okay? Or are they two separate things? Im almost 36 weeks.

Have you tried drinking lots of ice cold water? That’s what gets my baby moving again!😂 sorry not sure in regards to the Brixton hicks!

You should definitely just go in. I have been in loads as well as my baby just has extremely quiet days here and there. However I always think- well what if I don’t go in and it’s a time I should have? Just go!

never be worried about going up. ive been up 4 times so far since being pregnant and every time they’ve said even if the same was to happen the next day to go in again and again. you know best xxx

Try to lay down and have something sweet. But if you are worried go and get checked out as it's better safe then sorry. And they won't think anything of you, it's their job and they are happy to check you 🥰

Ring triage right away! Never too silly to just get them to check it out. Movements shouldn't be less than normal. Better to be safe than sorry! X

I think you should call triage and go in. I went in yesterday at 40w and it’s better to be safe. Babies do not move less the more pregnant you get and movement should be regular throughout!!! Good luck x

I haven't read past the first sentence. Call triage!! She hasn't moved since yesterday... definately call!

Call triage please. Any movement that isnt her norm needs to be checked 💖

My doctor says to drink something sugary and put your hands on your belly! When I lean back (like they have you do when they take ultrasound) my baby also moves then too!

Just ring up, they’ll tell you what to do. At this stage, there’s no such thing as “worrying too much”. Just get yourself reassured!! Xx

Last time I went in for reduced movements which was just a change in pattern the next morning after a quiet night, not no movements like you’re experiencing, three midwives told me off for not coming in sooner. Go to triage straight away! You’re never being silly and it’s 100% better safe than sorry

I went in for reduced movement twice In two weeks, they give me a scan as they believed my placenta was blocking his movements, it was he was moving away and I couldn’t feel it but she did say if he has reduced movement again tomorrow or any other day still go back in it’s important they are checked every time don’t sit and chew just ohone xx

Thank you everyone for your comments, I called the hospital and they advised me to drink something cold and lay on my left side, they said to wait for 2 hrs before calling back and my baby did start moving, I let the midwife know and she said baby was probably having a long nap or was having a lazy moment, she did say if I didnt feel any movement after 2 hrs again to come in and get checked though, thanks again everyone x

Do active babies in the womb become active newborns?

I had my 40 week ultrasound yesterday (on my due date) and the doctor mentioned how active my baby is. Curious as to your experiences regarding if your baby was active in the womb, are they likely to be active when they’re newborn? 😊

Early Labour?

I’m 34 weeks today, since 3am I’ve been having irregular cramping which becomes quite intense and has caused me to vomit. I’ve also had diarrhoea. Could I be in early labour or could I just have a bad stomach? I feel generally well in myself

28wk5days growth scan📈

I’ve just been to my first growth scan as my bump was measuring small, for the lady to say that baby should be between 2pound 2ounces - 2pound 5ounces and my baby is measuring 2pound 15ounces which is above average, any one else has similar measurements?x

Gender at 16 weeks

I’ve just had a scan at 16 weeks and asked the sonographer if she could tell the sex, and three little lines were visible! She said she’s 80% certain it’s a girl, but to clarify at the 20 week scan.
How likely do you think she is to be right? I saw the little “hamburger lines” myself too.

Can you tell with my scan photos using the nub theory??
