Under active thyroid!

Does anyone have an under active thyroid, I was diagnosed in March 2021, started on 25mg then fell pregnant and it increased to 100mg, I had bloods taken every 2 to 3 weeks but since having baby, I’ve had no bloods taken or checks done (still waiting to have 6week check as my little one was in hospital)

I’m due to go into doctors on the 7th March, I will bring it up then. I was also told by midwife that I should be having b12 injections, and it would be sent to my GP but never had them done either 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Hi, I have an under active thyroid and have had had 2 babies and I learnt after my first the I too was left after having baby and ended up being over medicated and loosing weight so after my second baby I rung my surgery and Booked a blood test before my 6 week postpartum check so the doctor could check the results at the appointment unfortunately I found I had to be proactive or I was left.

I was told to drop my medication back to 50 immediately after birth (think I was on 125 by the end of my pregnancy) and have my bloods done 6 weeks after birth

Iv got an under active thyroid the midwife will check your levels with your booking bloods and 28week bloods you should also be referred to a consultant who you won’t see till your over 30 weeks and have had your 28 weeks bloods then your gp should do bloods at your 6 week check and then they are normally repeated again at 12 weeks ish iv had 5 babies an this is roughly the time frame of when iv had them checked

I have an under active thyroid & this is my first pregnancy where I’ve been diagnosed with it. When I fell pregnant I needed to have my dose upped to 100mg. I’m now 22 weeks pregnant & it’s still the same as I caught covid when I was due my thyroid blood test. Think you need to be tested for it every 4-6 weeks

I was born with an underactive thyroid and I’ve had 4 healthy children. Dosage always increases during pregnancy. I was on 175mcg which increased to 225 during pregnancy. I was told to decrease to pre pregnancy levels 6 weeks after giving birth. I requested a blood test around 16 weeks postpartum and my levels were low so Im currently on 200mcg.
Request a blood test and have it checked asap.

I also have an under active thyroid it's important to have regular blood tests to make sure your levels are right. I'm 8 weeks post partum and now on 200mcg instead of 400mcg during pregnancy!

Flashy?!

Hi ladies!! So my husband just bout me a new wedding set and I’m not sure how to feel LOL. It’s way bigger and way more flashy. Is it too much? First and foremost I’m so very grateful and proud of him, but opinions?? 🥹

Ultrasound Scan and BMI

Hi everyone, really upset today. Went for my dating scan and as far as I knew from the sonographer it was difficult to get a good pic of baby today because baby didn't want to get in a good position. Read my notes afterwards and it says difficult scan due to increased BMI. I have a BMI of 39 which I'm aware is high, but I feel so sad about it and now I'm worrying how this is going to be throughout the pregnancy. Any positive info about any of you lovely people having a healthy and safe birth with a high BMI would be really appreciated right now ♥️

Dampness at 31weeks

Has anyone experienced dampness amd wet patches in underwear? Has it been your water’s slowly going or fluids leaking? If it was how long before they completely went ect?

I did think it was discharge at first. But it has no texture or odour.. just a wet patch like if you pour water 💦

How long after postpartum C-section do you guys feel heal enough to exercise? Or did my body heal wrong 💀

Hello! 2024 September 13th I had my baby and it was a planned C-section. They told me to never lift anything heavy til I heal but I had a toddler and newborn plus the household chores to do.. my boyfriend always work all day long til close to midnight anyways I reopened my C-section back then . They looked at it and said it was okay so I waited til last year 2025 September to work out.. and every time I did a simple push up or sit ups. It feels like a very sharp sting around my scar like burning and it spreads out so I just assumed I needed more time to heal and yesterday I tried again but this time it hurts badly and I couldn’t do sit up or push ups at all 😬
It feels like ima reopened again and the pains goes away 2 or 3 minutes later. The pains is like 9/10. Is that normal or did my body heal wrong? 😖
Is it something I should go in for?
