Apologies if tmi but just wondered if anyone else out there suffers from IBS and how it's affected your pregnancy.
Pre pregnancy my IBS was mainly cramps and loose stools as I digested food too quickly. I'm currently 30+2 and so far my IBS has been so much better, I assume because it the relaxin is slowing down my system however, I have eaten a lot of trigger food this week (onions) and yesterday and this morning my IBS has flared. This has also seemed to coincide with baby's movement increasing which I didn't know was a coincidence or a result of my digestive system having a meltdown. Didn't know if it's something I should worry about or not.

I have ibs and is nearly 27 weeks pregnant. My symptoms have improved since apart from diahorrea every day. Mine only flares up with stress. Some people with ibs and pregnancy improves or gets worse. Have you tried having peppermint tea when you have an flare up as it might settle your stomach? X

Omg I could have written this myself. Mine has been soooo much better this whole pregnancy, I’m 28 weeks now and all of a sudden out of nowhere I’ve had diarrhoea everyday since Wednesday! I don’t know how to stop it. I don’t know if you can take Imodium or buscopan?! I’d be interested to hear if you’ve tried anything.
I had a growth scan Friday and I mentioned it to the sonographer, she said it is quite common in third trimester

I suffer with ibs and through my pregnancy it has been better. I spoke to the midwife the other day and they said if I clinically need to take buscopan I can, but it's best to check with your midwife first 😊 x
