7 weeks pregnant and high TSH

That's definitely high, but I think if you start medication ASAP that could fix it!

I had my thyroid removed due to cancer in 2019 and when I fell pregnant last year my TSH spiker to 19 which is really high! They changed my medication and I was monitored during my pregnancy and all was fine. He is now 9 months old xx

Don’t worry. Of course talk to your doctor as soon as you can (I’m not a doc but have a long history of hypothyroidism and just experienced the same thing!) Your T3 and T4 are still within normal range, which (my understating) means your baby is still getting the thyroid hormones they need. I was told TSH can be cross-reactive with other pregnancy hormones (false high number) OR your high TSH levels could your thyroid is headed out of whack and you may need to go on meds - not a big deal. but the good news is you caught it early enough that your babe probably will not be affected. Take care and don’t stress!

I’ve been on thyroid meds for almost 20 years and when I found out I was pregnant, my TSH was 12.5. I now have a very healthy and happy 4 1/2 month old.

I was lucky to get to the dr this morning, got 50mg of Levothyroxine, and the dr said that all should be well. thank you again Ladies x
