Anyone else feel like they are working for nothing right now? 😞
With this cost of living increase between mortgage, energy bills, fuel, food and any other increases it is literally taking the little bit of money I did have to myself a month and more! I need more money a month but my company have said there will be no pay rises this year. I already work full time throughout the week. Am I now expected to give up either some evenings or the weekends to work as well to earn more money to cover everything and how am I then meant to get time with with my child! So stressed over this!

Right there with you! I make a pretty good salary, but my rent has just gone up. I'm totally solo, I pay over £1000 in childcare, and about £300 in petrol for my commute. I don't know how I'm going to manage honestly 😭
I wish I had some advice for you, but I'm afraid just empathy!

Me too, I make a good salary but it all goes to bills. We used to afford going out and holidays and we don’t do it anymore. I do free entertainment only (museums, parks, playground, community centre activities which are free) thinking that it’s all enough for my toddler, he doesn’t actually need to sit in a restaurant to be happy and develop well. But yes, we are looking at cutting spending in all areas. My friend has negotiated a full week hours over 4 working days. Longer days are hard to manage, but it means she dropped on day in the nursery which saved over £200 a month. I’m thinking of negotiating something with my employer too
