Hi ladies, I’m going to start trying with my partner for another baby in about 5-6 months. But I want to make sure I’m in the best of health. What did you do to make sure you were in good health? Did you take vitamins? Exercise? Get a check up? If anyone could give me any tips I’d be very grateful (:

I took conception vitamins for a month before we started trying and carried on until I became pregnant. Then carried on with pregnancy ones throughout too. Just to make sure I had the correct levels of everything the baby needed 😊

We tracked my cycle, also did something called seed cycling to balance hormones and try to maximise fertility. I was also walking for about an hour everyday and doing yoga (at home with YouTube!) for about 20 minutes each day (not sure if this made a difference but thought I’d mention it!) - I also was taking a seven seas trying for a baby multivitamin - we were very lucky and we fell pregnant on the second cycle of trying - hope this helps! can I ask what seed cycling is? I’ve never heard of that! X

Start folic acid and eat well. Encourage your partner to take a multivitamin too ❤️

Hey! I would start taking a good quality prenatal that contains the active form of folate as your body absorbs & utilises it better. I would get a comprehensive blood test to check your levels esp iron, B12, vitamin D, Zinc, Copper, homocysteine & I’d also get your partner on a multi too! Support stress & incorporate gentle exercise. Not sure where you live but I’d recommend seeing a Naturopath if you are wanting preconception support as if there is anything else going on they can help ☺️ I’m a naturopath too so if you have any questions reach out ☺️

Weight lifting 3 x per week, walking 30-40 minutes a day, low stress as much as possible, folic acid + iodine tablets, eating lots of nutrient dense foods, purchased lots of sexy undies. 😝

This article explains seed cycling in much more depth than I can in one comment. I have a close friend who is a doula and menstrual educator and she put me onto it - I’m not saying it’s a guarantee but it certainly can’t hurt! X
