How many follicles did they see on your monitoring vs how many eggs retrieved / mature/fertilized/ day 5 embryos?
Yesterday was my IVF day 6 ultrasound, only saw 7 developing follicles 😞. This seems low

I have 14 follicles
6 eggs retrieved
6 fertilised
4 to day 5
1 put in
3 frozen 🙏🏼

16 eggs retrieved
0 passed PGT

wow that’s impressive!

😢💕 🫂

thank you!

20 eggs split 10 for IVF and 10 for ICSI could only fertilise 4, 3 made it to Day 5 (one was aneuploid, one normal and one a low mosaic) quality over quantity -

I had 14 retrieved
11 mature
6 fertilized via ICSI
2 made it to blastocysts
1 genetically normal after PGT-A
Wished I had more retrieval so the end numbers are higher but definitely quality is important.

1st cycle - 4 follicles ready for collection, unfortunately had ovulated early so no eggs collected.
2nd cycle - 4 follicles, 2 eggs collected, both fertilised, 1 made it to day 5 and had fresh transfer (unfortunately didn’t work).
3rd cycle - 5 follicles, 3 eggs, 2 fertilised normally, both made it to day 5, 1 frozen, 1 transferred, now 35 weeks.
I used to get really frustrated when people used to say quality over quantity to me when we had so few eggs to work with. However the fact we got minimal drop off clearly counted for something.
As others have said try not to pay attention to other people’s scenarios, and focus on what you know to be true currently and repeat that to yourself. Such as “today I have 7 follicles growing”. Wishing you the best of luck for your cycle. Xx

thank you for sharing, and for your affirmation suggestions. I will definitely do this :) thank you

36 follicles (lots of small)
34 eggs collected
22 mature
18 fertilized
7 embryos (5 day 6, 2 day 7)
5 normal embryos after PGT Testing
My follicle numbers jumped significantly each ultrasound so keep manifesting good numbers 🤞🏻

2 rounds- 14-18 follicles, total of 63 eggs, froze 10 eggs by themselves, and made 6 healthy embryos out of the remaining 50 eggs

7 is great!
I had 17 and 19 follicles as baseline, quickly jumped to 60 odd as I went through the meds. They do increase.
Then 34 eggs
28 mature
19 fertilised
10 embryos (9 day 5 and 1 day 6)
Haven’t had a transfer yet.

It’s really hard to compare. We had 26 and had 2 embryos but neither were normal.

sending you love and baby dust💔

woooow

it was a few years back. I have a 22 month old and pregnant with my 2nd/last baby. Good luck ❤️

On day 4 of STIMS, I had 12 follicles already because I responded too much to the meds and we were SO scared of OHSS
My RE reduced my meds and the day before retrieval, we had 15 follicles.
Retrieved 25 eggs, 18 mature, 15 fertilized with ICSI, 9 made it to blastocyst stage and 5 are PGT normal.
It only takes one. Sending baby dust ♥️

I'm in a similar situation - had day 9 scan today, they could see 10 follicles but only 2 were above 10mm, they're growing slowly so have upped my meds.
Feel a little deflated, this is my 2nd round, first round there was 15 eggs, 8 collected, 6 fertilised, 1 survived so they transfered day 2 but ultimately failed. As there's fewer follicles this round I don't feel very hopeful.

When I look back over my 4 cycles, ~55%-80% of my follicles at trigger contained eggs.

defiantly is quality over quantity, do you know what grade your embroys were?

first transfer was a grade A blast, second one was a B I believe. My clinic didn’t really go into much detail about grading, so I decided it really didn’t matter that much. You often see cases where it’s the 3rd or 4th transfer that works for people and with some of the lowest graded embryos they had.

I have PCOS
21 follicles at baseline
33 follicles retrieved
29 mature follicles
20 fertilized
9 embryos (4 day 5, 5 day 6)
7 embryos tested “normal”
1 little embryo being transferred in January 🙏💕

I think you meant eggs not follicles 😊❤️

Yep that’s what I meant 🤣

My baseline they saw 20 follicles. At egg retrieval I had 24 follicles but only had 12 eggs. Of the 12, 8 were mature and 8 fertilized (ICSI). I am anxiously awaiting the day 5 call tomorrow. This is my first IVF round so I don’t know what to expect. We did chose PGT-A testing so it’s going to be a long Christmas holiday for us. I’m praying for the best trying to ready for the worst.
