Hi, I had the NIPT test done at 13 weeks and then 14 weeks. Both came back inconclusive. The fetal fraction stayed the same at 2.5%. I’m on Lovenox, baby aspirin and iron due to slight anemia. My BMI is slightly elevated. I’m wondering if all of this can be a factor. I’m going to see a genetics counselor. Has anyone gone through this and everything be fine? Our 13 week ultrasound came back as normal.

Yes loveee same thing happen to me . Third time was the charm for me but I had to go to outside lab to do it. Everything came out perfectly fine, so I would worry too much about even though it’s stressful.

Thank you so much! I’ve been through so much already. 3 miscarriages and this one in the beginning has low hcg rise. I can’t take the stress anymore!

Could it be they have your EDD wrong .. I’m just asking because the same thing happen to me , and I really think it’s because I am a week earlier then they same I am. I started out with a low HCG I mean LOW like a 27, but it was still doubling after 48 hours. Then my NIPT test came out inconclusive, and now my anatomy scan they said she a week below then what she suppose to be but she always measured that since I’ve been pregnant, so I just think I’m earlier then what they say I am.

We did it through ivf so it’s accurate and the last ultrasound I had said I was measuring right on schedule but the I’m on a blood thinner so it could be that possibly

And if your BMI is higher which mine is it could be a factor as well .

We’ll best wishes my love !

thank you!! You too

how was your genetic counselling?

it worked out just fine, everything came back normal!

so did you get nipt test third time too? Like in my case i got it done twice at 12 and and 16 week’s both time it came inconclusive and now my ob reffered me to genetic counsellor. M afraid wt will happen and all. My bmi is though quite higher .

we went to a genetic counselor and we did a different test that they offered that only needed like 1% fetal fraction. They also go over all the things that could cause low fetal fraction. Whatever you do, don’t Dr Google

Yh i am into google alot these days😪 was that test like blood work or something else

it was a blood test and was a different nipt that was more sensitive. It was called Invitae. I know it’s hard but don’t stress. I was the most stressed out I’ve ever been in my life and didn’t sleep and it wasn’t worth it. If you need to talk I’m here and been where you’re at ❤️
