I’m 6weeks pregnant and my husband and I had sex. I had a shower just before and we went for anal sex. He put on lots of lube but he was afraid to hurt me so not actually succeeded in penetrating even though he tried. However, on his last attempt, his penis slipped and slightly entered/rubbed my vagina. I panicked and stopped the whole thing and went to have a shower straight away. Now I’m here panicking we might’ve unintentionally and by accident hurt the baby by allowing bacteria to have contact with my vagina. He said he’s not worried as his penis didn’t smell, was clean and he didn’t actually penetrated fully neither my anus or my vagina. But in theory, is it possible for bacteria to migrate all the way to the uterus? And if so, could it cause a miscarriage? When would it happen? It’s just I have a friend who’s lost a baby due to an infection caused by a bacteria (of unknown origin) at 20ws and I’ve been crying my eyes out for the stupid mistake we’ve just done…

I would say you’re probably fine however if you want to play it safe just go to your OB, and get tested for any bacterial infection. If nothing is present you’re good. If so, then they will put you on an antibiotic and everything will be fine!
The problem is I’m in the UK and we don’t even see general practitioners in pregnancy let along OB…I haven’t even been appointed a midwife.

Is there a way to make an appointment with a general practitioner anyway? Let them know your concerns and that you want to get tested? Sorry not too familiar with the medical system over there.

If you worried go to sexual health clinic. They will give you all advise and will do all tests.
