Hi! Wondering if anyone who delivered at Mount Sinai Hospital on the UES would be willing to share their experience- favorite staff members? General tips? Things you wish you had in your hospital bag that might not have been provided?
Would especially be interested to hear from those who had a C-Section. If you’re particularly happy with the doctor who stitched you up, I’d love to know!

I gave birth in the mt sinai that’s like on 97th in 5th Ave .. I had both vaginal & c section . They treated me really well, I didn’t know I was getting a c section but I packed extra clothes for me in case I wanted to shower, a few baby stuff, I packed a charger. It gets cold so I would pack maybe a robe or something. I wanna go again for my next kid but I’m still debating

Thank you for sharing, !

Hi Luba! Just delivered there in March via C-section. Dr. Torina is the best. He did my incision and closure. He is also one of the kindest and most comforting individuals.
They provide everything, but I would bring extra newborn baby clothes as they had a shortage while we were there.

They also don’t give you a lot of formula to bring home with you so make sure you have stock at home. Also, push to have the lactation consultant come to your room.
The best nurses are Gabrielle and Monica. Hand’s down.

This is so helpful, thanks very much and congrats!

You are so very welcome! Best of luck and congratulations!

Of course. The formula in the hospital is Similac 360 Total Care and they recommend that you continue that if your baby agrees with it. Just wanted to let you know if you want to buy some inventory in advance.
The lactation consultant you want is Crystal. We had a not so great experience with the other one. Ask for Crystal.
