Was it painful? Any long term side effects? I’m struggling a little with this decision but I feel like I need to have this abortion done I can’t I imagine having another baby right now. How was anyone’s experience with it If you feel comfortable talking about it. Thanks.

I don’t know if it’s the same or if it’s going to be helpful but I had a miscarriage around 9 weeks I chose to take something and let the process happen at home. After 2 months I think it was everything didn’t pass and I had to go in for a DNC I think it was called. This was maybe 4yrs ago don’t remember any side effects other than thinking if I ever had another miscarriage I would go in and not go thur that again. I was told before I made my decision it was possible I would still have to go in but I thought my body said no to baby it would take care of the rest with a little help at home.

I had one 5 years ago. For me it was very painful, you're basically giving birth without the epidural. Mine didn't come out completely so I had to go back a week later, they had to vacuum the rest out. It was the worse pain I had ever gone through, worse than labor. Idk if I had any side effects since I've been on birth control since then.

I had a pill abortion and honestly didn't find it that bad, Pain was like bad period cramps, obviously it was emotionally challenging but everything went 'well', had no issues, went home the same day, no side effects apart from the normal bleeding afterwards etc

I was given abortion pills bc they thought I had a miscarriage and was told it would be very painful but would help the miscarriage process go by faster. 2 weeks after taking 2 doses of the pills they did another ultrasound and found my baby’s heartbeat. He’s now 10years old and very healthy thankfully

I haven’t had one myself, but I’ve heard from several friends (one in her 20s, one in her 30s) that the pill abortion was awful. The younger girl only had the pill and she was in severe pain. The older girl has had both the surgery and the pill and she recommends the surgery far more than the pill. Not only for convenience and safety but also because she said emotionally it was just a very sad thing to go through to be basically giving birth (even at only a couple weeks) at home alone.

Omg that is an amazing story for you! Wow

I just picked up my pills yesterday & have taken the first tablet today.
I have had another abortion before when I was 17. It’s hugely painful & lots of blood but once the worst of it passes it’s all over with. I don’t regret the abortion at 17 and honestly feel this is the right thing to do for me & my family at this time. I suffer horrendously with hypermesis and am so so eager to not be pregnant….
I’m starting the pill tomorrow after the bleed.
Good luck with everything. Please message me if you want to talk about anything at all
