Gaming monitors

Hey moms! Can anyone recommend an inexpensive starter gaming monitor? I want to get one for my boyfriend for his birthday. I’d prefer if it were between 100-150 USD and I’m not sure which ones are good.

Asus monitors are definitely my go to. But you pay for what you get and they are a bit pricy some times

Honestly, just get a 4k tv. That's what we've all done in my house, and they work great for PC and consoles. I have bad eyes and was struggling to read text on my 40 inch when I was sitting in my chair across the room, so we recently upgraded me to a 65 inch and even that large, being 4k AND a smart TV was only like $400. You could easily find a 25 inch or similar within your price range

I don't know if you have a Sam's or Costco membership but my husband and I have always found good deals there. Decent monitors at a good price-probably around 150

Don’t get a tv that’s too big if your playing any first person shooters. It’s more that you have to look around at and it gives a bit of latency. But of course to each their own. I use a 27in asus monitor that I got for like $100 bucks at Best Buy. They sell their displays cheaper

I second the Sceptre rec. I have 2 sceptres from different years and i love them. They're a v good budget friendly option that's gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

Co-Sleeping

I’m seeing alot of mums mentioning co-sleeping, at my hospital they had us sign a paper saying we wouldn’t and all the risks of it.

I’m just curious why there is so much negative on it when it seems it’s a positive in some cases I’ve read.

Anyone else's baby NOT sleeping through the night?

I would never have expected this, but I am seeing so many comments from mums saying that their baby sleeps through the night. It can't just be my baby who is waking up every 1-2 hours? Please say I am not alone...

HELP

Mums I’m loosing my mind!!! My daughter is 3 months old in a few days and we’ve had a lot of ups and downs with her feeding. She is formula fed only. She was having the symptoms minus rash for CMPA / Reflux and the DR is trialing her on Aptamil Pepti she’s been on this now for 2 weeks. We were doing really well on it. She wasn’t fussing at the bottle anymore and her stomach wasn’t making noises, no more congestion etc etc.

But the past few days it’s started again, she’s fussing at it instantly, she wants it but she doesn’t, I can hear her taking air in because she’s crying at it, I can hear her stomach again. She is sounding wheezy again. I’ve just spent a good 45 minutes giving her her bedtime bottle and it was the worst it’s been! Why?!?! Wanting the bottle, but crying. Sometimes it’s like she can’t take a breath or she doesn’t know how to breathe properly while drinking it. She has the slow flow teats as the formula is watery consistency so I felt like the number 2 teats were choking her.

I’m at my wits end with it I am getting so frustrated with it because I don’t know why!!!!!!

Please can someone guide me in the right direction as to what is going on because I I just want to cry!!!!!

For the breastfeeding moms

What drink should I choose instead of soda? I’ve been drinking a lot of soda and sometimes water, but I want something bubbly to drink while breastfeeding. I don’t like seltzer water or flavored versions. Please help me find a drink.

What baby monitor do you use?

I currently have a vtech monitor but it picks up absolutely everything! I live in a bottom floor four in a block and I’m ready to have a mental breakdown🤯 it’s picking up every conversation my upstairs neighbour is having, when she’s moving stuff around, her dog barking and it’s driving me insane especially at night

I want one that still easily picks up my son but not so sensitive that it picks up my neighbour breathing🫠

What time are you guys going to bed?

We go to bed at like 11ish, and baby goes same time as us so I will feed him right before lights out and he’ll go to sleep in the next to me at same time as us. But some people are putting their babies down much earlier - how and why do you do that ? Do you then go to bed that early too? What about breast feeding?
