13 weeks too early for gender party?

I want to have a gender reveal party but it’ll be on my 13th week of pregnancy. I am getting the NIPT blood test done. Some family members are saying I shouldn’t do it so early just in case something happens. Now I don’t know.

You should do it exactly when you feel comfortable doing it. Don’t let others put their worries on you. Everything will work out just fine for you Mama stay in that headspace💜God forbid it doesn’t you’ll have all those friends and family to lean on.

I’m doing mine at 13-14. I did sneak peak at 7 weeks and NIPT at 10 weeks.

Not at all!! This is your baby. You celebrate when and how you want to. 💕

I don’t think so !!

Hi was your sneak peek accurate?

Avatar

I haven’t got my results back yet but my sneak peak said girl so the change of it being accurate is high

Avatar

I literally just got my results back lol

Avatar

what did yours say? Did you do the snap or lancet?

Avatar

Boy lol. I did the snap

Avatar

They say snap is the most accurate.

I think it's a good time actually. As long as it's after the 12 week mark

Avatar

We did ours at 6 weeks! Lol

Avatar

how did you know at 6 weeks?

Avatar

I would probably wait until the anatomy scan confirms

Avatar

How long does sneak peek take to get back ?

Avatar

Mine took 3 days.

received the test Tuesday, sent it back Thursday. Had results Saturday night

Would you take your almost 4 yr old to a birthday party at an indoor play place during spring break, with a 10 week old baby?

I know it will be crowded as heck since it’s during spring break. I’ll be holding my 10 week old the whole time but nervous that we might get sick from being inside with all those people for so long

Group B Strep positive labor and baby

Hi,
First time mom to be here, currently around 37 weeks.
Can anyone please share their experience of labor and how was the baby health in the first weeks, months when tested positive for GBS and receiving antibiotics during labor?
I was blessed to not have any serious complications during whole pregnancy and was really looking forward to unmedicated easy-ish birth hopefully and healthy baby but now is concerned about me being able to stay mobile during labor and having side effects for antibiotics, and for baby to have microbiome negative affects due to antibiotics taken..
Any insights or experience would be helpful.

Pushchairs

Out of curiosity, have we turned babies forward facing in their push chairs yet? I’ve kept her facing me as I’d rather see her 😅 I assume it doesn’t matter either way? (7 months on the 8th)

Hormone drip

I’m being induced on Wednesday, with my first baby I was induced but I can’t remember if I had the hormone drip as I was so out of it from gas and air and pethidine.

Can I refuse it this time? As I’ve heard it makes contractions more painful, or can I say if I do need the hormone drip, I will need an epidural can the 2 coincide?
