People say walking helps to induce labour naturally- how long or how far should you walk each day at this stage?

Walk as much as u can I am in labour ward amd I've been walking in the whole hospital every 2 or 3 hour for half an hour and doing some squat and bouncing on the ball. I get contraction after I lie down

Think as much as you can, your body will tell you when it’s too tired to continue! Just make sure you’re walking in a loop/ somewhere that if you do get tired you can quickly return to base from! I was going on hour-long walks from 37 weeks to try and help but now 39+2 and can’t walk for more than five minutes without being in pain or out of breath x

Waiting 18 months after a c section

Who had another baby before 18 months post c-section?

I didn’t want too much of a gap between babies but the HV said to wait 18 months before getting pregnant again. It took me a while to get pregnant the first time so if I wait that long and then it takes me a long time to get pregnant it could end up being years!

Planned c section

I had my first c section in march of 2024 after days of a failed induction. Im schedule for a c section tomorrow due to this baby also measuring big. I'm so scared and freaking out. I still remember the feeling of the spinal and how fast you can feel your body go paralyzed, the shaking, puking and I needed a blood transfusion. I'm so scared and even though this baby was planned ( like my first one ) I can't help thinking " why did I do this to myself again" . I'm also really sad about leaving my 2 year old and I don't want to go ( obviously I know i have to ) . Has anyone else had these feelings or thoughts ?

Getting your induction call?

I have an induction booked for today, and was told I’d receive a call between 8 am and 9 am to let us know what time to head into the hospital. I haven’t received a call yet.

For the ladies who were induced, when did you receive your call/is it worth me following up with them? I’m sure we’ll get caught at some point soon and don’t want to be that irritating person chasing up necessarily 😂

pregnancy diabetes

bit of a rant sorry but some one other than my family need to hear this lol

so yeah i wasn't bothered about the glocus test heard mixed reviews but I found the drink very lovely went down so nice..Didn't feel dizzy or anything with it so I was convinced I didnt have diabetes but then started over thinking maybe my body is just so used to sugar then the results came in fasting was under the drink was over 1% and the hour after was under so I thought yeoo I dont have it until I got a phone call to explain my results and there is was sitting on the phone hearing them dreaded words you have diabetes I found it funny because it was only 1% will fast forward to a week later it isnt bloody funny what so ever.
Having to time breakfast lunch and dinners is so hard...I never ate a lunch instead I would have a 4 pack of like mars bars and a bottle of coke and I thought I was doing a good thing by changing the coke to zero sugar lol

so onto the 3rd day of having to use the glocus monitor and that thing is my worst enemy that wee needle is bloody sore im like a big child when ive to do the finger prick eye closed counting to 3 and always catch my self of guard when pricking my finger lol.
Honestly if you asked me last night after my dinner would I just go f*** this and walk away yes I would and I would walk away with my middle finger up to diabetes lol but then after my wee tantrum and an out burst of tears my partner finally calmed me down as he seen how hard it was for me and how hungry I was.
so long story short I am a very very very plain eater I dont eat veg never eat fruit and if I do its apples bananas and grapes just....planning out meals I was sticking to what I usually have and 1 meal tipped me over the edge as I cant have it as im over the line god sake so now I have to sit with my partner and plan out meals that I never usually eat but will benefit me im just so glad he is a chef and is so helpful on what I can have what I cant and portion size...
So the running joke that used to happen in my parents house once 1 person went on a diet or a healthy eating we all did which annoyed me and I look back on it now and go omg its happening in my family too lol though I think its going to benefit my self and my little family and will put into practice for when little one is here.
Every one keep me in your prayers ive only 13 weeks to go but I can do this and let's hope I loose a bit of weight instead of gaining weight lol.

also if you have got down this far what is every one doing about easter I was ragen when I found out that I cant binge eat my easter eggs and cry at night with being murdered with heart burn lol...I have an appointment with a diabetes person on Monday and I know there going to say eat the chocolate in moderation and all I want to know is can I have a wee bit every day and if so how much as I dont mind having to go out and buying scales to weigh it and put it into like wee sandwich bags or even melting it all down and making rice cakes with it and spending that out over the weeks
