Baby girl names to go with Aria 💗

I’m in the UK, having an elective c section on the 5th of April and me and my partner STILL can’t decide on a name 🤣 We already have a 14 month old called Aria Maddison Rose Radcliffe. Ideally I’d like something short to sort of go with it. I like things like Aida, Aila, Erin, Nova. But we just can’t agree, so I’m open to any and all suggestions.

As a side note, this time round, we were expecting twins. But unfortunately we lost one very early on. So any meaningful names that you might know would be appreciated too 🥰

Firstly, I’m so sorry for your loss. Baby loss is difficult enough but parenting one baby and grieving the loss of their twin really is something else. I actually follow a woman in a similar situation so I’ll link her account as it may be helpful to you.

Aurore is a lovely name and in French it means dawn/sunrise/first light which seems fitting - the idea of light and brightness coming after the dark. Could also use Aurora if you prefer the ‘a’ sound at the end to go with Aria.

Ciel (pronounced ‘see-ell) is also French for sky and is used to referred to heaven/heavenly. Sounds nice with Aria as they’re both short and would be a nice tribute to her heavenly twin.

I do like Nova and the reference to stars though. On a similar vibe, Estrella means ‘star’ in Spanish and would make a pretty girl’s name. Or you could drop the ‘r’ and have it as ‘Estella’ or even just ‘Stella’ which comes from the Latin for ‘star’ xx

I love Erin and Nova with Aria. What about Lena, Lyra/Lyla, Niamh, Lumi, Ada, Heidi, Eline (bright shining light), Ember, Ozzy, Honor (nod to baby that was lost), Anouk (grace), Blair, Bliss, Kate, Lottie, Dahlia, Daisy, Eira, Elsie, Flora, Ever, Freya, Gemma, Ida, Maia, Olive, Pearl/Perla, Paige, Tess, Veda, Wren, Esme (loved), Tala, June, Osla, Sage.
Halia was a name I found when I had a loss, and it means "remembrance of a loved one," which maybe could work as a middle.
Could do Skye, Heaven/Nevaeh or Halo
Amani/Verameans "faith."
Tamsin means "twin"
Rafaela means "God has healed."
Bree "strength"
Enid "life/spirit"
Alma "soul"
Gia/Janet "God's gracious gift"
Joan "God is gracious"
Vita/Chava "life"
Gloria/Cleo "glory"
Celine "heavenly"
Lucy/Lenora "light"
Althea "with healing power"
Astra "stars"
Farrah "happiness"
Milagro/Harika "miracle"
Salem/Harbor/Haven "safe"
Phoenix can represent rebirth
Amity/Raya "friend/friendship"
Irene/Frida "peace"
Zora/Aurora "dawn"
Asha "hope/life"
Dorothy "Gift of God"

Ramona "wise protector"
Reverie "dream"
Talia "gentle dew from heaven"
Amrita/Tancy "immortal"
Avana "favor/protection"
Ebele "mercy"
Fayola/Arianwen/Bia "blessed"
Nayo "she is our joy"
Sena "bringing heaven to earth"
Kalani "the heavens"
Solana/Aelia "sun/sunshine"
Oriane/Dawn "sunrise." Apparently, a surviving twin of one who passes in the womb is called a 🌅 sunrise baby, so this would be beautiful!
Olwen "white footprint" in Welsh mythology she was a goddess who brought white flowers wherever she walked to springtime (my very loose understanding)
I had some other good ones from when I had an mc. If I find them, i will add them. Best of luck, and I'm sorry for your loss, but im glad you have a little one on her way!
Could also do a word name like just Miracle/Golden/Marvel/Sunshine/Joy, etc

Thank you all so much for your comments! I absolutely love how people take their time out of the day to respond 🥰 xxx

Not sure if anyone else has already suggested it but the name Thomas means twin, I've looked it up to see what the feminine version is and it's Thomasina or Thomasine often shortened to Tamsin (also a name by itself) other spellings include Tamsyn, Tamzin etc. I also liked the suggestion of Eve as a way to celebrate your miracle twin but definitely think Evie would be even cuter and would sound great with Aria! 🥰 maybe Evie Tamsin? xx

- Linnea- pronounced lin-nay-a (means twin flower) think Pearl sounds lovely with this as a middle spot to!
- Echo
- Aster
- Celina
- Marla (Pearl/star of the sea)
- aila/Isla (light bearer)
- Sienna
- Ocean

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
