My baby is 16 days old and is so uncomfortable from gas, we currently use tommee tippee bottles and SMA pro formula, we feed her upright and try burp her every few mls but she’s still so gassy 😢 she’s constantly squirming around, going red in the face/struggling and takes ages to settle. She does guzzle her milk and is very impatient when feeding, could this cause gas? Any advice on what to try? I hate seeing her so uncomfortable x

We’ve been using infacol for 3 days and not seen much difference yet. Hopefully it’ll work 🤞🏼
I’ll have a look into the massage, thank you! X

Gas is extremely common at her age because of how immature the digestive system is when they're newborns. You need to check with your provider but my Pediatrician recommended we try mylicon and/or probiotics. Also, you can try some exercises to get the gas out and warm compresses/water on the belly. We had same problem but as soon as we changed the bottles and formula milk it’s all was good and she started sleeping much better, I used a SMA I tried almost all of them and all of them gave my daughter a lot has and Collics so we swapped on different formula and everything was good. Also we swapped the bottles to MAM bottles I am absolutely Inlove with them, self sterilise bottles can sterilise them in microwave and there anti colic something don’t remember what but I know it’s like doesn’t let wind come through the tits xx

Bottles definitely DR BROWN with wide neck. Those are game changer! And Kendamil Organic.

Formula - we have tried Aptamil, Kendamil (including organic) & SMA. My LG took well to Kendamil (organic made no difference). Aptamil was slightly thicker consistency but caused lot of reflux issues - it could also have been due to the Tommie Tippie bottles; SMA made my LG very congested for some strange reason! Switching back to Kendamil literally got rid of the congestion immediately.
Bottles - definitely try MAM x

definitely try the Dr Browns! we had those with our middle girl and they were a lifesaver! we're using a combination of breastfeeding and formula with our newest girl (almost 4 weeks old) we did have her on Aptamil ready made bottles in the hospital but we've swapped to HiPP Organic now we've home and can make up the powder formula

We had this problem with my little girl, we changed to kendamil formula and it was a blessing. Also we have mam bottles instead of tomme tippe and never had any problems xxx

i used tommee tippee and found my baby to be super gassy. i switched to MAM bottles and it was the best decision ever. they have air vents on the bottom that prevent gassiness. as for formula i primarily breastmilk feed but supplement with formula here and there and use enfamil ready made formula

also try to feed her in an upright position and keep her upright for 10 minutes after feeding

Kendamil all the way x

MAM bottles! Absolute god sends! X

She is so adorable 🥰🥰

We changed to Dr Browns anti colic bottles at 4 weeks and she burped like a champ and still does, and constantly tooting😂. And using Kendamil x

My little boy was the same, and I changed formula and to MAM bottles - I found it really helped.SMA gave mine really and constipation! X

Mam bottles and kendamil saved us!

Omg she’s so so cute 🥹 Iv heard Kendamil is good, that’s what I’m planning on using… if your using the Tommy tippee bottles I think there are different teats with different flows in, changing it to a slower flow might help? X

My son had colic and I switched to mam bottles swear by them I've bought more for this baby

Mam

Our favorite was evenflo bottles. They’re just a standard bottle, no bells or whistles. We previously tried Tommy tippee, dr browns, Lansinoh, and avent. Evenflo worked best for our son. Helped so much. The moment we started using them his colic was gone. Hardly ever threw up and wasn’t ever gassy! It was such a relief

Mam !!

It could be the bottle to much air flows , ? Try switch to enfamil gentlease it’s the purple can

I had to switch to dr browns option + which is the anti colic ones

Mam bottles or dr. Browns all the way and enfamill gentlease for formula! Congratulations on the baby girl she's beautiful!

Pre made formula was brilliant for us xx

pace feeding and infacol - totally normal when they are tiny!

Switch to MAM bottles and try using colief drops - that I did - worked a treat x

Thanks all! I’ll try switching up bottles and formula hopefully that will work 🤞🏼 just hate seeing her in pain i know it’s probably normal but I feel so sorry for her 🥺💕 xx

Kendamil , mam bottles and colief drops.

I been using dr browns anti colic bottles and it’s worked for us now we are 10months still using same product.

We tried so many combinations, we used cow and gate then anti reflux milk then back to cow and gate, we tried tomes tippee then MAM then NUK and none worked so for ages we used the pre made formula bottles because it’s all that worked. Eventually though found that boots own brand bottles which are ridiculously cheap and cow and gate regular was the combination that worked for us, I guess it’s all trial and error. Good luck x

My lactation specialist recommended the Dr browns anti colic bottles and showed me we were using too big of a nipple for my little. She was chugging and had milk pouring out of her mouth and getting everywhere. The bottle’s definitely helped and then we do tummy massage and exercise about 15-20 mins after eating, or with every diaper change. We do bicycle kicks, clockwise tummy rubs, hip circles, and knees to baby feet to mommy. It really helps! Especially if you do it with every diaper change, it helps keep everything moving

Things that helped my sons gassiness were Dr Browns bottles, infacol and if you're breastfeeding, drinking fennel tea.

Try anti colic bottles & see if that helps! My son was the same we swapped from tommee t to dr browns & the avent colic made a massive difference within a couple of days xx

Cranial osteopathy can really help!
