Crochet hook to break waters?

I have had “irritable uterus” since 33weeks and almost went into earily labour twice. I am now 39 and 2. I was meant to get induced 2 days ago as I can no longer handle the constant cramping. They have pushed my induction now to another 5 days and my mental health is really declining. I need this baby girl out so I can rest. It’s almost been 7 weeks now of constant labour contraction with little to know change to my cervix.

I need ideas on how to break my water safely or I’m about to head out and but a crochet hook!!

Has anyone tried this? How did you go?

What is a crochet going to do? You'd have to get it through your cervix and as someone that had to go through fertility testing and have a catheter camera put up there it hurts like hell.you won't be able to get a crochet hook up there and even if you did it wouldn't be safe.

Spicy food, sex, and long walks are tried and true methods to induce labor. Certain teas as well.

Please do not try to break your water yourself. I’ve heard curb walking works! Please be safe

Dance with your pelvic , pineapple thins your walls. Spicy food. Don't break it yourself with a crochet hook

Go in and tell them baby movement has reduced or give them symptoms of pre-eclampsia, they will induce lol

Is it normal pain or something more?

I’m not really sure where to post this but figured there might be someone here that could shed some light.

I am 23 weeks tomorrow, so far a normal pregnancy, a couple of times I’ve had some light spotting but each time I’ve been checked out and everything is fine! I have had a previous c-section and have been told I have a low-lying placenta so am waiting for another scan to check it isn’t growing into my scar tissue.

The last few days I have had such bad pain, it is worse when I move but comes and goes with the more I am doing. It is primarily in between my shoulder blades, just below my ribs and across the middle of my tummy (in line with my belly button), I also get it in the lower part of my tummy, mainly on the right side. It feels like a severe stitch.

I went to triage last week for spotting and don’t want to rush back there if it’s something that is normal. Any ideas? 🩵

Honest truth about C sections

I am a first time mother having an elective c section. I’ve been told that it’s a shame I am doing an elective as thank God my baby is healthy. I need to know is a C section better than a birth? If you have had both please share your experience below !

To Induce or Not To Induce?

Still waiting on my little boy whose EDD was 15th of March.

I'm now 42+1 and the pressure is starting to build to Induce. I have been planning for a home birth so really would rather avoid if possible but now considering inducing at the end of the week or just opting for elective C Section.

Pregnancy has been super straightforward for me, no sickness or issues at all so feels a shame to need to Induce or C-Sec now!

Still feeling well in myself and movements are good. Not really having any signs of labour besides loose poops for a couple of weeks and a couple of nights with intermittent cramping (after I'd probably overdone it a bit in the garden).

I hear so many horror stories for inducing hence considering the elective! Does anyone have any positive stories or can make me feel a bit braver about hanging on!

What age are you giving chocolate from and how often??

No judgement, I’m genuinely confused. I worry about sugar intake etc as grandparents both side have diabetes however I also know can’t cut it out completely or may overdo it when older. Wondering what age everyone began with chocolate etc

Two parties on the same day, WWYD?

Our DS was invited to his nursery best friend's birthday party one month in advance, we immediately confirmed. The party is 2 to 4pm.

About a week later we got another party invite from some long time friends. The party is the same day but from 12 to 2pm on the opposite side of the city, so it will take a 40 minute drive to get from one to the other. This child used to be best friend but they haven't been available to meet for the last year, so I was thinking about skipping this party. However, my child keeps asking about them and it is possible for us to attend, just complicated. So thought I would go and leave early (stay for hour and a half instead of 2 hrs) and go to the other party around 10 mins late.

Is it too rude to leave the first party early? We are staying for most of it. Or is it better no just not go?

What would you do?
