I’m 10 weeks pp and EBF and my husband and I have been having unprotected sex under the assumption that breastfeeding was a form of birth control. The other day i started to feel light cramping, but nothing came about. Do you think it was ovulation? My doctor said that i shouldn’t expect to ovulate for 7-8 months and now I’m worried that since I’m having unprotected sex that i could be preggers 😂🤰🏻😵💫 I guess i better make an appointment to get an iud 😂😭

It really depends on your body, everyone is different, but yes it is possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding, especially after the first 51 days PP.

Breast feeding is not birth control. This misconception is the reason a lot of people get pregnant so soon after their previous baby. Please test and start protecting yourself if you don’t want to get pregnant again

yes, it’s definitely possible to get pregnant while breast-feeding. It shouldn’t be used as a form of birth control. but if you’re not ovulating, you can’t get pregnant…but if you don’t know if you’re ovulating or not, it’s hard to tell.
Maybe take a test just to ease your mind and make an appointment for some type of birth control?
I’m gonna make an appointment to get an iud. My doctor made it seem like i was perfectly safe 😵💫

I’d look into possibly finding a new OB. I’m shocked they didn’t warn you of the risks
I’m so surprised that they didn’t tell me. He’s like the #1 OB in the area. I’m going to call them and test over the next couple of weeks. I’m hoping that they told me and my newborn exhaustion was the reason that i don’t remember that 😂😭

I gotta say... Good for you having sex 10 weeks pp!!! 😂 I'm almost 8 weeks and have ZEROOOO desire!!! Can't even fathom it happening until... idek when, but no time soon! Lol
