Flying with a baby via EasyJet

Can anyone help please …

We’re going on our first holiday with our baby in a few weeks and I’m confused around the rules and when I’ve called EasyJet to ask, they cannot give me a clear answer.

1. I wanted to do a click & collect order of nappies & milk to Boots in the airport (after security). Am I allowed to carry the carrier bag onto the plane in addition to our hand luggage, or will they make us pay for additional hand luggage (specially for flying with EasyJet as I know other airlines have different rules).

2. Can anyone clarify the rules around taking pre-made milk, flasks of hot water and baby food pouches through security. Online it says they must be less than 100ml individually and no more than 1litre in total but the pre-made formula cartons are 200ml so am I allowed to take these? It also says they need to be in a clear bag no more than 20cmx20cm but I’m not sure they will fit in a bag of those measurements? How strict are they with baby milk etc?

Flying from Birmingham airport.

Thank you 😊

I can only answer 1, but anything you get after security isn’t classed as hand luggage so you shouldn’t be charged for that xx

Thank you - I thought this was the case as surely no one would ever do any shopping if they then had to pay to take it on the plane and I always usually buy bits from duty free and have never been questioned but the staff member I spoke to on the phone told me I would have to pay for an additional hand luggage bag to carry it onto the plane 🤔 x

I can answer #2. You can take as much formula or water with you as baby will reasonably need on the flight. I took 6 x 200ml premades on an 11 hour flight and about the same to Spain. They will need to be scanned separately so make sure you have them ready for this. You won't be prioritised for the scanning so you will be behind every muppet who forgot about the liquids rule but you will get to queue jump for boarding and actually getting to the scanning bit. Don't worry about the clear bags or 100ml restrictions.

The liquids rules are airport rules and not airline rules

Thank you that’s really helpful x

I took flasks of hot and cooled boiled water thru along with milk powder and food pouches. They only scanned the 2 flasks as that's all I had with liquid in they weren't bothered about anything else, we flew from Leeds Bradford and we didn't have to que we went straight thru. It was the same coming home too in dalaman. Also I didn't know this but if your pushchair folds flat into hand luggage size you can take this on the plane and put it in over head storage it was helpful for us as we had a right walk from the plane to the luggage collection. We flew with jet2 so I would ask at checkin if you are allowed to do that x

Thanks that’s good to know. Unfortunately EasyJet charge you to put the pram in the overhead locker, but our pram is a couple of cm over size requirements anyway so we will have to make do with it going in the hold. Thank you x

Sleeping through

If your baby is sleeping through the night are you ever nervous about saying that to other parents with babies of the same age? My toddler no longer sleeps through without coming into our bed but did until about 11 months old and now my 11 week old has been sleeping solid for 3 or 4 weeks now. I always feel like I can’t say it to other mums because it comes across like I’m showing off…I know what the sleep deprivation feels like and how you can just resent anyone for anything🤣 but I kind of feel like I can’t relate sometimes.

Is there any correlation between sleeping through the night and types of feeding?

Did your baby age 0-6months sleep through the night, 6 hours or more, and how were they fed? It always see like formula fed babies sleep through the night sooner than breastfed babies.

Baby moisturiser (UK)

What are we using for baby moisturisers please ladies?
I started with aveeno because he has sensitive skin and had a lot of rashes when he was born, just can’t afford to spend £9 a bottle when we use it every day!😮‍💨
We’ve tried Aldi moisturiser and Johnson’s moisturiser, they are ok, just wondering what you guys use and would recommend? 🫶🏻
