I haven’t heard anything about it

I had gave my 3 month old 1oz apple juice mixed w 1 oz water for constipation it works so well

Our pediatrician told us to wait for foods till 6 months, and juices 12 months, but everyone is different

My pediatrician said stay away from juice for as long as possible. Do you know why they recommended it?

I work in pediatrics all parents are told to wait until about the 6 month mark just to be safe. Giving the baby water before then could lead to water intoxication due to their baby kidneys not being developed all the way to filter out anything but their milk.

I’m not sure why your pediatrician is recommending this, but if you trust them and your gut is telling you it’s okay then you can give it. Always trust your gut though. If it feels off or wrong don’t do it.
We started giving my daughter juice at 6 months old because she was having bad constipation. Even now at 17 months juice is the only thing that keeps her regular. No matter how much fiber, water, fruits, etc. we give her she’s always constipated unless she has juice.

Maybe water before juice😭 that’s weird. Even then I would wait till at least 6 months for water.
