As you havenāt opened the box, if you were looking to return it for a long term option the Maxway is only Ā£20 more expensive https://littlepeas.co.uk/product/britax-max-way-black-series
@kat my girl is quite long but dinky, i havenāt opened it yet, i donāt exactly have the money to be spending Ā£500 on a car seat, being a single mama (although her dads still involved & buys most things) & a student. iāll look into this a bit more. but thank you for your reply āŗļø.
@kat it can be seat belted in as it has the seat belt points, it just stops the seat from spinning and becomes a regular car seat. If you look at the other photos of that model you can see the green seat belt points š we were also shown how to install it both ways by the staff at smyths x
@Nat just so you know this seat is isofix only, please do not attempt to belt it in. no spin seats are seatbelt install x
we have the besafe stretch, it has the highest rear facing limit possible with car seats so while it was a bit pricey (Ā£500) i know she will be safest for the longest time i can physically allow her. the baby auto one you just bought only rear faces to 18kg which depending on what centiles your baby is following could be as early as 2.5/3 years which isn't a safe forward facing age. forward facing with a harness isn't recommended as it pins their body back and their head and neck jolt forward (increased risk of internal decapitation) yet she wouldn't be old enough or big enough for an adult seatbelt. children's bones aren't ossified enough to safely forward face until at least 4 years of age (but ideally closer to 6) and it's unlikely you'll get to then in an 18kg seat unless child is way under 50th centile for both weight and height xx
@Nat thatās tooo cute, bless himš„¹ x
@~Sherisseš¦ you're more than welcome! He was like a new baby on car journeys, we got him a back seat mirror so we could keep an eye on him but he uses it to watch things going by š x
@Nat amazingggg, thank you so muchhh! iām excited to put my girl in it!!x
@~Sherisseš¦ my son LOVES it! He screamed the entire time in his infant carrier which made journeys really difficult. With this one he can see out the window and loves watching the world go by. We lie him back a bit when we're doing the 200 mile drive to my grandma's or we need him to sleep in the car. So easy to put him in and out as well
@Nat snapppp!! we brought that one today! how is it?? we havenāt used it yet⦠i dont drive at the moment so iāll be moving it from car to car (not often) š©. i know itās on the heavier side as i lifted it in the shop, but itās doable ! x
@Madison iām talking after they grow out of the infant car seat, but that looks good & well protected, mine was quite basic as it came in my travel system & because it was soooo expensive as it was, i didnāt upgrade my infant car seat !
@Nat i wonder if itās the same as ours, do you have a picture of it? just curious nowš¤
@Monet i brought the Babyauto Xperta i-Size x
We got ours from smyths, I can't remember the name but it's a 360, safest model they do, can either be seat belted or isofix with seat belt anchor in the boot. My boy loves it, we recline him for long drives or if he's tired

@~Sherisseš¦ this app can be just as bad sometimes too. Think its worse on Facebook though because theyāre selling the seats but speak to people so horribly š„“ Which seat did you buy recently?
@Grace thatās amazing you found one that goes on to your pram, i havenāt heard of this one either, not that iām looking as i brought a new car seat today, but iāll look this one up tomorrow too!
@Monet too toxic !!! i thought this app was bad sometimes, but that group is beyond meeeee!!!š« š„“ ohh i havenāt heard of that, ima look it up tomorrow !
That Facebook group is beyond Toxic! š„“ The admin are so damn rude too 𤮠We havenāt upgraded from infant carrier yet but will likely get the Maxway plus as itās the most affordable
I have a maxi cosi coral which goes on a familyfix3 base. They sell for like £300 but I got mine second hand. I researched it and it fits onto my maxi cosi Pram too.
@kat amazing, iāll look into them, thank you!
