Aptamil Pepti 1

Hey guys,
My LO has been swapped onto this formula.
Has anyone got an experience with it and how did they find it ?
Read lots of reviews and lots of comments saying it made their LO worse.

It didn’t change anything for my little boy really, other than the fact it smells awful and I don’t think tastes good for them either 😂

My LO had recently started this on Wednesday,it doesn't smell the best but my LO no longer screams everytime she is being winded, the rash she had has started to disappear x

It didn’t make any difference for my boy, but he did take to it fairly well.

It definitely helped my LO with his dairy intolerance but not enough so we ended up moving him onto nutramigen LGG which has worked wonders!

It helped a lot with my twin boys and they were both off it by the time they turned one, my little girl who was born in February went onto it from 3 weeks old and it’s definitely helped her as I’ve seen a massive improvement in her feeding and bowl movements, only thing is it smells horrible and makes there wind and poo smell badly, hoping she’s off it by the time she’s one just like her brothers x

My little boy has been a different baby on it tbh! Helped his silent reflux massively no longer screams, can be put down on his back, a lot more content. Took better to it than me cutting out dairy while bf. We had to try him with neocate while waiting for a prescription one time and that made him worse! Pepti 1 just makes his poos quite smelly and he farts alot but better out than in I guess lol

We are getting on really well with it. We were on Nutramigen LLG which kicked off his awful silent reflux, he couldn't take the bottle was just screaming in pain. A bad time for all involved. Then tried Neocate as we were told it was from the small amount of cows milk that could be causing the reflux, but it was still awful. Now on Pepti as the dietician said it empties from their tummies quicker so can be more comfortable for them. It has been great, he is a bit windier than before but seems to be managing his allergy and also helping the reflux. Hoping this is the winner for us 🤞

Feeling really disconnected from my husband…

We have a 3 year old son. When our son was a newborn my husband prioritized my MILS feelings (was afraid to be honest with her and hurt her feelings). I was recovering from a C section and she was at our house uninvited when we brought our son home. He knew she was there but didn’t call her and tell her to leave. She knew I didn’t want her there when I brought the baby home.
We invited my MIL to meet the baby in the hospital- she did. The only thing that went wrong was she told us she didn’t like the name we chose for him. Also told me not to feed our baby formula because “it’s poison”. My MIL has always been bossy- controlling, uses a lot of guilt and shame to control things. She’s tried to control how we manage finances, where we live, and now how we raise our son.
Basically since my husband didn’t prioritize my feelings as the new mother - and didn’t put us first- I’ve felt unattracted to him. I view my husband like a he’s man child. He has finally realized how difficult his mother can be. But I just have felt so unsupported by my husband and part of me just wants to get away from him. I want our relationship to work but the connection and attraction seems to have vanished. I have a fantasy of meeting a man that’s mature, emotionally intelligent, that I feel taken care of. Just venting and advice welcomed…

Do you take your kids/toddler (not an infant) out (park, grocery store etc.) in pajamas?

Breastfeeding Mums - what are you doing at night?

As our babies are starting to sleep longer stretches, I wanted to ask for those breastfeeding how they deal with their milk. I find even if I am still feeding 2 or even 3 times in the night, the time in between is still longer than in the day so I often find I wake up having leaked through my breast pad, bra and top.

The most obvious thing to me would be to pump, but the nice thing about baby sleeping longer is I thought I would be able to sleep longer too! And I know if I get up to pump (having to sit upright, noise of the pump, sorting the milk after etc) that I would have trouble getting back to sleep. Not to mention it would probably wake my husband up too. Curious how others have dealt with this. Are we just accepting being leaky everywhere? 😂

Daycare Diaper Discrepancy

I started sending my son to daycare a couple weeks ago and have supplied them with diapers but it seems like every time we come home, he is wearing a different brand. I’m not upset because he doesn’t have any allergies I just want to know why? Today he came home wearing a diaper very clearly meant for little girls and in a different size but I don’t know all diaper sizes so 2T might be the same as Size 5 in different brands. I would understand if it was because he is out of diapers but I checked before we had left the center and he still had plenty of his own so why does this happen? Should I bring it up? Has this happened to anyone else? I trust the providers very much and have a very good relationship with them so I don’t suspect any malicious intent behind anything just looking for an explanation before I do or don’t bring it up.
