Tommee tippee blackout blind

Has anyone used the TT blackout blinds if so are they worth it? Our little ones routine is all over the place now that it’s staying light late and getting light early I think it would also help to use through the day and keep our room cool as our room is a heat trap

Sad to say I hated them. I tried them but the suction pads were useless and the sizing was off - even tried to use their method to adjust the sizing and it’s a no from me. I did however buy some from Amazon (checked good reviews) and I haven’t looked back. They’ve been a lifesaver especially for these bright bedtimes.

Neighbour gave us one last week that they didn’t need anymore so I put it up on one of my little girls windows (there’s two in her room on different walls so sun only hits one window in the morning) and from it went up, she’s gone from waking around 5.45/6am to 7am onwards like she would have done previously. So for us it’s definitely worked

Also from my own research when using blackout blinds - It is best not to use them for the day especially as the sun gets a lot hotter - from many blackout blind reviews it caused some customers windows to form small cracks under the intense sun heat.

I got them and agree with the first comment, the suction pads are awful, can only get half of it up!

I really liked ours with my first born, great to have if you stay elsewhere too.

We have a roller black out and a slatted blind now but kept the Tommee one from last time and will no doubt use again but more for when we stay elsewhere

We used them instead of black out curtains for 2years.. I didn’t have any issues at all x

I use this, you cut it to fit your window frame and it is a complete game changer. It makes the room pitch black during the day that I cannot see anything when it’s up. It also has a reflective backing so keeps the room cool, just need to have the window open a little so the heat doesn’t crack the glass. It comes with suction pads and Velcro. We use the Velcro and it’s so easy to put up and take down during the day.

i’ve got the clevamama blackout blind and although a bit big for our windows works so well with getting my little one to sleep now it’s so much lighter! x

They blackout the room but the suction on the poppers are awful! Ours keeps falling down all the time i think thats the only downside x

I hated it! The suction cups were a nightmare, it definitely didn't black out the room for us as it didn't fit the window properly no matter what I did; it was constantly falling down. I got a material black out similar to what Rachel posted and its 100% better!

We wouldn't have been without ours. When lo was in our room it was pitch black, our window is floor to ceiling our stuck directly to the glass. I've used on framed windows when travelling and the suction was more difficult because it wasn't quite a flat surface. Now lo is in his room we have had to use a black out stick on film because that window is super tiny and other options would be a safety risk ☺️

I just brought one for the same reason. It has been amazing and has seriously blocked out light. The suction cups have been fine for me, they've been stuck to the window for almost a week now without falling. Plus it's made bedtime easier again and stopped the 5 am wake ups.

Couldn’t get the suction pads to stay stuck so gave up with it anyway after reading it can cause the window to crack. Got a blackout roller blind from dunelm that was £12 and you can cut it to size and that does the trick (as well as blackout curtains!)
