Amazing hospital. We delivered in the midwife unit and it was phenomenal. Everyone was so attentive and supportive. I’m not sure if they had diapers or wipes on hand since we packed our own.
I delivered at MSH and I had an amazing experience. The nurses were so nice. You need to pack your own diapers and wipes.
Thank you everyone. @Evnah were there other supplies you had to bring or any advice on what else was needed?
My baby was in NICU while I was discharged but was able to stay at the hospital for couple of days. Things that I used were PJ, slippers, toiletries and definitely snacks. For baby I don’t remember needing anything else besides the diapers, wipes and cloths.
I delivered at MSH. I really liked the experience there. You will need diapers for your baby along with wipes. I think they gave a hat for baby. Check out this link from the MHS website. https://www.oakvalleyhealth.ca/clinics-departments/childbirth-children/having-a-baby/preregistration-and-preparing-to-give-birth/ It gives information on close the bottom on a hospital bag checklist close to the bottom after the pregestration section.
Also, another thing that I found useful was a water bottle. At the hospital, they do provide large cups, but when I was having contractions, I found it hard to drink from the cups.
@Evnah you’re so right. A water bottle with a straw
I had a positive experience delivering there in November 2021. However, it's worth noting that they did not provide diapers or wipes.
I hope I'm not too late. Had both of my babies born there. Great experience. No they don't provide you with diapers or wipes.
They’re amazing. The nurses were so patient and helpful. We brought our own diapers and wipes.
I delivered there but in the alongside midwifery unit. I’m not sure if it’s the same but we LOVED our experience there. I wasn’t there for very long so I don’t recall if the first diaper we put on our LO was ours or theirs but I would suggest you pack some.
