Nuby rapid cool, help!

My baby is fully formula fed, if we go out he has pre made which he takes fine but it does not fill him up. I’m thinking of buying the nuby rapid cool but I’m a little confused. Maybe I’m being stupid! Does it only make enough for one bottle? i.e once I’ve added the formula to the water and cooled is that it?

I assume i can wash out and use again with the hot water from the flask 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t put formula in my rapid cool,
I put water in so I haven’t got to worry about it just making one feed without having to wash it up straight away. So I’ll make a 5oz bottle and I’ll add 2oz boiling water to my mam bottle, add my formula and then I’ll add 3oz boiling water to the Nuby wait for that to cool and then add it to my bottle and it’s good to go 👍🏼 does that make sense 😂

Following because I’m in the same boat

I have one, I don’t put the formula in the cooler it’s self I put formula in containers with the right amount of scoops in each container then fill the water up and it will last all day

We do similar to but we already have cooled boiled water in a bottle, and bring an empty bottle, add 1oz of boiling from flask, put in powder and mix, then add in 4oz of cooled boiled from other bottle. Then that bottle we just emptied is one we will use next time to do same. Means we get rid of bacteria but doesn't take long to make a bottle, and our flask keeps boiled water above 70 degrees for like 6-8 hours so lasts 2-3 feeds

I don’t put the formula into the rapid cool either! This is what I do
(I use mam bottles)
1. Pour hot water from the flask into your bottle to what oz you want for baby
2. Using the lid of the bottle pour roughly 20/30ml depending on how many oz you’re making up. (I do 4 oz so do 30ml or 1oz)of the warm water from the bottle into the cap
3. Pour remainder water that’s in the bottle into the rapid cool and let that do it’s thing
4. Put the hot shot from the bottle lid/cap back into the bottle and add the formula and swirl round
5. Then water should be ready from rapid cool so pour that in and swirl/shake and it’s good to go!

I also use dispenser pots and have the right about of formula in them when I’m on the go or for night feeds!

Hope this helps :)

Following! I was just wondering if anyone found the nuby produce the water/formula too hot? My friend said she had that experience so looking at the Tommee tippee go prep…. Can anyone recommend either product? Thanks

nuby rapid cool is great I’ve used it every day since she’s been born! Never found the bottle to be made too hot at all, all depends on how she’s making it because everyone does it differently and that can impact the temp of the bottle x

the rapid cool is a god send! I’ve had no issues with it, it makes the perfect temp water x

Quick PSA

Don’t be a fool like me! Before you run upstairs to have a quickie with your husband make sure your baby monitor receiver is turned off so the whole rest of your house doesn’t hear ur shenanigans. 🫠🫠🫠

Bedtime Advice Please

Hi,
Im a first time mum to a 6 week old. I’ve seen a lot of people say their baby sleeps longer stretches than mine. Since she was born, in the evening we’ve put her down in her Moses basket in the living room until me and my partner go upstairs to bed. She’s waking up 3 times in the night. Would she be better at sleeping if I put her down in the next to me upstairs earlier in evening with baby monitor and get her in more of a routine every night?
I don’t know if I’m being stupid but I think maybe if she’s in more of a set routine sooner rather than later it would be best?

Sleep!!

Our little girl at 10 weeks just slept from 730pm to 430am. She fell asleep on her dad and in bringing her upstairs at 10pm she was still fast asleep so decided as she was fed just before that to leave her until she stirs. She’s usually a good sleeper on the first stint of the night with atleast 6/7 hours but tonight she’s gone 9! Besides a little leakage as I’m exclusively breastfeeding I have no concerns. Would this one off affect my milk supply? For context when she woke she fed for 10 mins which is average for her and was content/ didn’t seem to be struggling.

Is my friend just spoiled or is she a terrible mother

I know that sounds harsh. But one of my best friends has changed since she married her husband who has money..

Shes due in May, doesnt seem excited about the baby at all. Talks about how she would never get pregnant again and would use a surrogate even tho shes had 0 real issues .. and surrogacy is hardly ethical. Regardless i dont judge it because its her choice.. now its added in with this other stuff im feeling otherwise.

She has a nanny, which i think is fine. We all deserve help! But now i found out the baby is going to be sleeping on an entirely different floor. IN THE NANNIES ROOM in a bassinet. The nanny will be doing all the “work” She says she never wants to hear the baby cry, she said she would never even let the baby in the bed to nurse… she’s wealthy beyond belief. Has everything she could want. I thought she would take motherhood seriously. Im not saying we all should struggle but this is hard for me to understand.. im not sure if it’s pregnancy hormones but shes acting like she doesnt even care about this child and only wants to do the “fun” stuff. Doesnt want to do diapers, treating this baby like its not a whole person. Says she will sleep train them as soon as she can and she doesnt give a f*** if the baby is crying for hours .. like it just does not seem to bother her? In hoping that things change when she her son.

Im struggling to stay close with her because i feel like shes now border-lining on neglect ? Am i wrong? Is this not crazy behaviour? And mind u this isnt the half of it !

Dropping nap

Did anyone notice their lo sleeping better at night after dropping to 2 naps?

My son has always woken multiple times at night so I’m not expecting miracles but I’m also just hoping he will eventually be tired enough to sleep longer than 2hrs without needing a feed again. I know sleep association is also a factor but I believe in feeding before sleep to make sure he’s full and he’s never dead asleep before I put him down and I will sing/pat etc as well.

Occasionally we get 3 hrs by fluke, just wondering what others are doing but specifically the multiple wakers xx

I’m probably over thinking but my baby has always gone bed 9/10 woken up every 2 hours apart from past few days he’s slept till 2am and then done 4/5/6/7 😂 tonight he’s put himself to sleep at 7:15pm
No witching hour like normal just settled so I’ve put him in his next to me while sat here glaring at the monitor 😂😂 I’m so worried about how he will sleep tonight he’s 8 weeks on Friday. He’s way above his birth weight he’s a right chunk so I’m not worried about his feeding. He was born 7 pounds 13 he’s now 12 pounds probably a bit over that now as was weighed beginning of last week!
