Bedtime Advice Please

Hi,
Im a first time mum to a 6 week old. I’ve seen a lot of people say their baby sleeps longer stretches than mine. Since she was born, in the evening we’ve put her down in her Moses basket in the living room until me and my partner go upstairs to bed. She’s waking up 3 times in the night. Would she be better at sleeping if I put her down in the next to me upstairs earlier in evening with baby monitor and get her in more of a routine every night?
I don’t know if I’m being stupid but I think maybe if she’s in more of a set routine sooner rather than later it would be best?

Is your baby breast or formula fed? I personally dont have any routine. On average my boy who is combi fed will go down "for the night" anywhere between 6-8pm. And will wake anywhere between 10-12am. And then back down until 3-4 and then up at 7. It all depends on their feed and nap times during the day that creates this "routine". It'll all go to shit when they hit their first regression. I wouldnt worry about it just yet. They dont even know what day it is let alone a routine. With my first I thought I had a routine until the regression came 😂 now I just go with the flow until he shows signs that his body is starting to understand day and night x

This is completely normal and actually safer in all respects. Baby’s are supposed to wake up throughout the night. They can’t link sleep cycles at this young age.
They also don’t understand routines until at least 4 months old. Routines before then are for the adults not the baby’s.

Safe sleep guidelines say that until 6 months of age, a baby should sleep in the same room as their care givers for all sleep including naps. This reduces the risk of SIDs by helping to regulate your baby’s breathing as they mimic yours.

You’re doing a good job. Try not to compare what your baby is doing. Some baby’s sleep for longer stretches. And some don’t. It’s very baby dependent.

Totally normal. Every baby is different. My son is 12 weeks old and wakes up around 3 times during the night. He sleeps downstairs on the sofa next to me or in his next to me until I go to bed around 10pm and take him upstairs with me.

He can go anywhere from 1.5 hours to 4.5 hours during the night x

Normal?

Hey guys I need help with knowing if this is normal.

My first born son was the easiest baby ever. Rarely cried at all!
My second born cries about everything. His diaper changes are traumatic because he won’t let you do it and the only way to get a diaper done is to pin him down (we’ve given him our phone, toys, chewies, sang to him, silly faces, played with him- he will not let a diaper change happen at all and just screams)
He won’t let us wipe his hands after mealtime he screams and flales.

You can’t distract him once he works himself up.

At the beginning I was like “this is normal” but now he’s 10.5 months and still screams every diaper change and hand wipe

Is this normal?

Bed time/ wake time

I have a five month old and really trying to figure out what time I should be putting her to bed. She wakes up at like 6:30am which is too early for me 😅

Any advice or mums who’ve figured it out?
