I just saw a post about people being lucky their kids go to bed at 7pm, the comments were filled with people saying if they sent their kids to bed at 7…they’d be up at 3:30am / 4am / 5am…why is that??
My son goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up around 8/8:30am. I do consider myself really blessed with his sleep schedule however he doesn’t nap and he’s nearly 2 🤣 he dropped his final nap when he was around 14/15 months old 💔 if it’s later please let me know! Also what time they wake up - I’m curious 👀

Everyone has a maximum amount they can sleep in one go. It varies between different people. For your son it's about 12-12.5 hours clearly! My son can't do more than 10.5-11 hours in one go, but he also naps in the day for up to 1 hour (he's 2 years old) so they're getting a very similar amount of total sleep per 24 hours.
We start bed time 7.15 and he's asleep by 8, we lie with him and cuddle whilst he falls asleep, it's usually just before 8 and we're out of his room just after 8. He wakes at 6-6.15

Our 2 year old goes to bed at 6 and usually falls asleep by 6:30-6:45 and is up at 6am

Both my kids go to bed at 8. My 5yo usually doesn’t fall asleep until 8.30 and is up 6/6.30. Even as a baby he’d sleep 9-10 hours overnight max, and survive on 15-30min naps. He just has low sleep needs. My youngest is 15m and she usually wakes 7ish. She still has a 1-1.5hr nap at lunchtime.

My girl doesn’t go to sleep until 8:30 sometimes 9, unless she has a really bad nap or is poorly. She won’t sleep more than 10-11 hours normally so no chance I’m putting her down any earlier 🤣 she wakes up anywhere between 7-8am.

At 2 my son had one nap, at dinner for about an hour/ 90 mins. Bed at 7, awake at 6.30. which worked perfectly for me and morning routine

All go bed between 7-7:30 and up about half 6 on school days or 7-8 on weekends. Eldest is 6, then 2yrs with no nap

Im lucky if i get 9hrs out of mine overnight 🫠. Asleep at 9 and up at 6 (if im lucky)

My 2 year old goes to bed around 8pm and wakes up 6am/6:30am. Also doesn’t always nap. I struggle to get my 7 month old to sleep before 8pm too. Though it’s also too much of a rush after nursery pick up / dinner etc. to get them down before 8. All routines and kids are different and have different sleep needs

7pm and up at 8 - 8:30am for my 2 year old and 5 month old
Breastfed since one month old. Born (4lbs 11oz) At her two month check with my midwives they said she was doing really well with weight gain (6lbs 5oz). Now at 3 months we went to our family doctor and she is at 7lbs 6.4oz.
My doctor is concerned about weight gain but also said she’s doing great with holding her head, being attentive, etc. Dr. Said I should give formula
But what I don’t understand is my daughter always seems satisfied with feeding and doesn’t cry or fuss after. Anyone have a similar situation?

Hi! I was j wondering when everyone is starting sleep training and how they are doing it? My 3mo wakes up once of a night at around 3/4am after being asleep since 10pm, and has been doing so for about a month now. I’m not sure wether that means she is ready or not? She can sometimes settle herself after being woken up from a nap after about 2-3 mins (I never leave her longer as I get scared/worried about if she starts crying) and she has a pretty decent routine during the day. Should I start sleep training? What methods are good and reliable ( I am NOT considering the cry-it out method so please do not suggest it) (Pic so I don’t get lost)

Looking for a bit of advice/reassurance from other mums who are breastfeeding.
Baby had lost almost 10% of his birth weight at his Day 5 midwife home visit. He was weighed again today at Day 7 and his total weight loss is now 11%, so I’m feeling quite disheartened.
I’m exclusively breastfeeding and he’s feeding at least every 2 hours. He seems to be latching well and we’re getting plenty of wet nappies. The midwife is coming back in 2 days to weigh him again.
I’m going to make a conscious effort to increase my food and fluid intake too.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with their baby and managed to turn the weight loss around? Would really appreciate hearing how things went for you. Thanks

Hey! FTM to a little boy here. Help me out. At night my little guy seems to always lee through his diaper and wet his clothes and sleep sack. I’ve tired sizing up in diapers and then back down. I’ve pointed his penis down when changing and diapering. Not too sure what’s going on. This doesn’t happen during the day? He’s getting up every two ish hours at night.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
