I bought the witch hazel foam that apparently is indicated for post birth recovery 🤷🏻♀️
I did pads in the freezer last time and didn’t find they helped that much. You’ll be bleeding a lot so a frozen pad doesn’t quite feel right? Also you have to be careful not to put ice directly on your bits and get an ice burn! I used the spritz by my expert midwife, and I used a peri bottle to spray/wash when I went to the loo and also the sitz bath with witch hazel and Epsom salts https://www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/postpartum-health-and-care/sitz-bath-postpartum/
Ive been recommended the spritz for bits aswell! Xx
I bought spritz for bits and didn't actually use it last time. My friend swore by it. I just used a jug and water to poor over me but to be honest, I was in such a daze I think I just didn't really think about it. I did keep topped up with Paracetamol and used one of those hemerpid cushions to sit on which was really comfy and meant I wasn't putting too much pressure on anything when sitting! I did have a 3rd degree tear so I think the cushion was a bit of a lifesaver xx
I used spritz for bits and it actually made me worse. Just water seemed to help
I used spritz for bitz with my first I've ordered it again and I ordered the fridamom cooling pad liners to try this time they have good reviews and look quick and easy x
I've gone to town on the downstairs recovery stuff. 😆 for downstairs and nipples 🙈 I've bought the Spritz for Bits - been recommended by loads of people. I've also got the frida cooling pads, cooling wipes and witch hazel foam (that can be put on pads/ disposable underwear). However, i may also make some homemade pads up with aloe vera/witch hazel on when I go on maternity as backup in the freezer! I think you can never over organise yourself for pain relief 😀
Spritz for bits definitely, started off spraying it on a pad but eventually realised spraying it straight on was the best thing to do! 😂 I also got a peri bottle. You won’t like the idea of wiping down there for a wee while, so filling that with cool water and cleaning after a pee is lovely and refreshing! Genuinely one of my best buys last time!
I used the my expert midwife spritz for bits and found it really good but never tried the aloe Vera like you suggested. The only thing is the spray is good for hospital use - the pads from the freezer could be used at home?! I also got the soak your bits from the expert midwife for when I was home to use in the bath and found that helped too x
