My baby is sick after most bottles am I doing something wrong ?

My little girl is nearly 3 weeks old and she has started to be sick after most bottles. We try not to put her down to soon.
She’s also pooing every other / every 2 days. Doctors weren’t concerned however speaking to a health visitor online they said she should be pooing every day now. They said maybe it’s that that’s filling her up and now making her sick. We use the prep machine and they also said it could be that. That the hot shot isn’t enough to dilute the milk?
Will the being sick just pass ? Is it just a baby thing am I worrying for nothing ?

Sounds like reflux she may need thickened milk and pace feeding x

Make sure the nipple size is appropriate. Poop every other day is fine.

Our little one had reflux and still does sometimes and he’s 1 next month.. when he was really young we didn’t give him any thickener as he was still putting on weight, he was a every other day pooper too..but when he got to around 5 months I had enough so started with a bit of thickener in his bottles and it’s been so much better… just keep her upright for as long as possible after each bottle and slowly feed… and I’m sorry to say but pack lots of outfits when you go out! I'd avoid the prep machine, they never released their findings on their tests, so the query is, is the hot shot actually over 70c. And the next lot of water used, isn't sterile, so again is this ok. They claim the filter is what allows them to get away with not having the second lot of water be sterile.
Also it can add increased bubbles to the formula.
Make sure you swirl the formula when dissolving not shaking, to reduce bubbles. Feed baby in a more upright position and pace feed. Then try keep her upright for up to 30 minutes after her bottle, to see if this helps. It's all "reflux" advice, but she could definitely have reflux

My ex best friend's daughter would always get sick after bottles. Kid grew up healthy afaik.
My daughters both have done better with the formulas that have the milk proteins partially broken down. I'm sensitive to lactose and wonder if my kids are too.

So we used the prep machine for a weekend while away and my LO started being sick (like projectile) after her bottles and really constipated, we decided to stop with the prep machine and mentioned it to the HV who said the same as yours. Since stopping she has only had a bit of sick once or twice but nothing I'm concerned about and dirty nappies every 2 days but not crying when going now. we also changed her to comfort milk as HV said it might settle better in her tummy 😊

I’ve found the best way to burp my little man is to sit him on my leg facing inwards and support him under his chin and one hand up his back while moving his body gently in circular motions!

My baby girl has been the same, they've prescribed her carobel that's a milk thickener, and colief drops to break down the lactose. It has helped alot, might be worth a try! X

I've read that the Tommee Tippee PP machines cause reflux. We use the Nuby Rapid cools just as convenient (if not more as portable) than the PP machine and we've had no issues. You add the formula and boiling water straight to the flask, close the lid, shake it well and within 2 mins it's cooled to perfect drinking temperature. You can pick some on Vinted nice and cheap x x

We also use colief drops that break down the lactase enzymes in the milk and its stopped any discomfort and colic pain x x

When you say sick how much? My little girl has a very small amount like size of a 2p piece after her bottles and I was told this is normal with babies their age c

Help

My 5 week old is always up from 1am every hour grunting and squeaking and just won’t sleep. I end up having to bring him with me and I’m worried I’m creating a rod for my own back. I’m exhausted. First half of the night he’s okish. But from 1/2 it’s absolute hell. He farts a lot then as well but I just dunno what to do. Last night was the worst it’s been.

Not sure what’s wrong- 5months

Has anyone experienced any of the below problems with their baby?
He’s always a happy baby so this is completely not him. He’s a terrible sleeper but now it’s worse, if it could.

He’s was EBF but now on formula for the last 2 weeks. 2 days in a row now he’s vomitted a lot of milk out everywhere in the evening and just before bed.
For example I was walking around the room with him around 18:45 and it just came out of no where everywhere.

He’s very miserable and takes ages to get to sleep. Crying lots.
He’s been dribbling a lot, flushed one cheek but I can’t see any teeth coming.

All night he just won’t settle in his cot. Sometimes just starts crying hysterically and I can’t settle him at all.

A very tired mama.

Any advise on what it could be?

Sleeping through

If your baby is sleeping through the night are you ever nervous about saying that to other parents with babies of the same age? My toddler no longer sleeps through without coming into our bed but did until about 11 months old and now my 11 week old has been sleeping solid for 3 or 4 weeks now. I always feel like I can’t say it to other mums because it comes across like I’m showing off…I know what the sleep deprivation feels like and how you can just resent anyone for anything🤣 but I kind of feel like I can’t relate sometimes.

Is there any correlation between sleeping through the night and types of feeding?

Did your baby age 0-6months sleep through the night, 6 hours or more, and how were they fed? It always see like formula fed babies sleep through the night sooner than breastfed babies.
