baby rubbing his face against me

when my baby is cuddling me he constantly rubs his face back and forth against my clothes and tries to bury his head in my armpit usually when he’s a bit unsettled. does anyone else’s baby do this?

😭 That sounds adorable. Could it be he is sleepy and is trying to rub his eyes/shield from the light?

Yes, they do this when they’re tired and ready for a nap/sleep. Babies need help to fall asleep so that’s a good cue for you to try rock them, or get cosy or whatever it is you do to help out them to sleep :)

Mine does that means she's tired ,so might mean your baby is too

Overtired! My boy does this when im trying to get him to nap.

Yep mine does this, I used to think it was his hay fever and his nose was itchy but I've realised he does it when he's tired!

Yes, when she wants to go to sleep. I thought it was because she usually naps in the sling with her head against my chest, but reading the above makes me think it’s a more universal thing!

i think your right ladies he does tend to do this when he’s fighting his sleep! thank you! x

Yes, I feel like he does it to make himself stay awake

Sleeping position?

Does anybody else’s newborn sleep in an odd position? Or can anyone tell me why my baby does this? It looks super uncomfortable and no matter how many times I readjust him he goes back into this same position. He favourites the left side as well, he never does this on the other side.

Bottle for Breastfed baby

Tips on how to get breastfed baby to take a bottle? My LB currently only feeds using a shield (we use MAM) and he would always take a bottle (MAM) previously but I got lazy and stopped using it for a while and now he’s refusing😅 I’m going out in a couple of weeks so really need him to take to it again😅 any tips greatly appreciated x

First time mom issues

Ever since I became a mother, I get criticized for almost everything.

I breastfeed, and I constantly hear that “breast milk doesn’t fill the baby up” and that I should give formula.

I’m currently unable to work, and I hear things like, “This is America people don’t stay home with kids, put the baby in daycare,” even though I’ve applied and haven’t been approved yet.

My child feels safe enough to be herself when I’m around, and somehow that turns into, “The baby is too clingy you need to put her in daycare.”

When my baby cries, I drop everything to comfort her, and I’m told I shouldn’t do that because I’m “making her clingy.”

I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a mother, but God chose me to be this child’s mother, and I intend to give her all my love, care, time, and dedication. It is my mission.

I pray to God every day.

The life I imagined didn’t happen, but I am grateful for what I’ve learned in these past four months.

I’ve learned to speak softly. I’ve learned patience.

What more could I ask for?

Every day, I just thank God for sending me my little honey bun. 💛

My baby girl is only 11 days old - but gets so so fussy about 5pm every evening! She’s fed, clean nappy, having cuddles but just will not settle at this time every evening! I googled and apparently witching is hour is common but is it common at only 11 days old?! Send help 😂
