Hi Ashley,
I just had my anatomy scan yesterday and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Although my baby was balled up and I have to go in again. They can’t tell you anything about normalities but they will make feel happy about what your seeing. I had horrible anxiety leading up to it. They do push hard on your stomach so be prepared for that. And they give you pictures. They will tell you what your looking at. It’s quite a fun ultrasound. I found out that I’m having a baby boy so that should be something to look forward too

I just had mine yesterday and I enjoyed every second of it. They look at everything head to toe and take the time to explain to you what you’re looking at and the reasons why they check each body part. I didn’t have to have a full bladder which was nice. Got great pictures at the end. My baby was quite the wiggle worm, though 😂. And since we’re keeping the gender a surprise, the tech warned us when the time came to close our eyes lol. You’ll enjoy this scan a lot. Don’t be nervous 💕

I had mine last week and was SO nervous! My boyfriend was too, he almost passed out. It ended up being so amazing to see the baby at her current size and all her limbs and organs! I brought some sprite and candy as some moms recommended to get her moving, because she wasn’t moving a lot and the tech couldn’t see all her limbs! The carbonation and sugar got her moving

I just wanna thank you guys so much. All your responses have me feeling so much better about it.

I had mine yesterday, it was long but went well. It was so great and amazing to see baby on the screen, little head and foot🦶. The tech was super nice and talked through everything she was looking at and measuring, and happily answered all the questions my husband and I asked.

Mine will prolly take 2 hrs due to the fact is I always have to meet with the US doctor after the scan since I'm high risk for previous pregnancies and my age. Just my regular 12 week scan took an hr. Mine is next Friday and really anxious about it even though every test so far has been really good

Emergency scan

Hi! I went to triage on Saturday night for reduced movement as I hadn’t felt baby all day. I was checked over with Doppler etc and sent on my way - midwife said everything was great.

I’ve just been called by the hospital that I’m booked in for an emergency scan and it’s just taken me by surprise. Has anyone else experienced this?

How does everyone do it

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and have a 3 year old and I can’t even get out of bed without being sick, can’t even stand for longer than 2 minutes, my toddler is basically living on snacks as I can’t get out of bed to cook, I can’t even take him to nursery I feel terrible, I’m only 8 weeks and have so much longer to go 😭

Early labour?

Im really unsure if what I’m having is the start of labour or just digestive pains? I’ve been getting sharp/crampy pains across my abdomen and back which come and go every 10/15 mins, not really typical period like pains yet but they are very noticeable. I feel like it’s been getting more painful since this morning, but at the same time I’m having diarrhoea and nausea. The only difference I’ve noticed is the pain is not going away after going to the toilet or position changes. I’m going to call triage but I thought to wait and see a few more hours. BTW I’m 37 weeks
