Did y’all membrane sweep hurt ?

I feel like my doctor was being super rough, she also has been very passive my entire pregnancy.
But today we talked about the membrane sweep for the VERY first time.
She stated she will checked my cervix and while down there WITHOUT even ever warning me that she was about to do the sweep. It was so unexpected and painful.

Also how soon did labor start after the Membrane Sweep?

Membrane sweeps feel worse each time, imo. Had several with my previous pregnancy and they didn't do anything. Not getting any this time.

Mine was pretty painful, I even pulled a muscle in my leg during it. I had mine a few days ago no signs of labor. Little disappointed about the whole thing.

Omgg , okay lol and I’m still in pain is that normal too I just got it done today about a hour and a half ago

They should ALWAYS be asking for consent. Not cool!

Mine didn't hurt but felt like a lot of pressure and discomfort. Had to breathe through it. I don't feel pain today that seems abnormal.

My dr tried to do one but my cervix was completely closed so I told her to stop. I’ll be 40 weeks Monday so if I still don’t go into labor by my due date Monday the. Thursday at my appointment I’ll have her attempt the sweep. I read that if the sweep feels painful and uncomfortable they are more likely to be successful. Some drs are too gentle and quick & it’s not so effective. Might be a good sign it was painful for you this means you could perhaps, potentially go into labor soon. Very unacceptable she did not have your consent to do the sweep on you! Smh sorry you endured such neglect :-/

I had mine done today (again for the 2nd time). The first one didn’t hurt as much, today’s sweep did but I heard that could be a good thing/naturally what happens when pulling the amniotic sac from the uterus lining? I didn’t feel any pain afterwards just during it though.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
