Prep Machine vs Kettle

We’ve been using prep machine since birth with no issues but baby was quite refluxy. I’ve recently done a few bottles using the kettle and noticed my 5 month old is rarely sicking up this way so I think I’m going to change. Has anyone else noticed this with the prep machine?

Also how does everyone make their bottles overnight? (without a prep machine or nuby rapid cool)

For overnight I have two flasks by my bed. One with boiling hot water and the other with cool boiled water. I put a bit of hot water in first for the hot shot, put formula in, mix it then fill the rest up with the cool boiled water and it’s the perfect temp

The prep machine makes my baby really refluxy so we just use it during the night in our room and kettle bottles the rest of the time X

probably a stupid question but do you need to sterilise the flasks each day?

Do you validate your toddlers feelings all the time?

I see so many posts about validating a toddlers feelings, and curious to know if other moms agree with it or disagree. I don't agree with it because they should start learning early on their emotions should match the situation.

Swaddle Transition

Hey moms! 🤍

My name is Gabi, and I’m a first-time mom. My baby will be 7 weeks old tomorrow, and recently I’ve noticed that when he’s swaddled, he keeps escaping and wakes up with one or sometimes both arms out.

I did a little research and saw a lot of recommendations for the Love to Dream swaddle. I understand the concept, but I’m not sure I love it for my baby. I also came across a couple of other transitional swaddles on Amazon—the Omni Swaddle Sack and the 4-Way Houdini-Proof Swaddle Sack—but now I’m second-guessing what to choose.

Before swaddling, we were co-sleeping, and he actually slept really well on his belly. Even now, he seems most comfortable napping on his belly.

I’d love to hear your experiences or recommendations—what worked for your babies during this transition?

Co-sleeping

Have tried to put baby in the next to me but he is refusing. He is currently sleeping in the najell sleep carrier between me and my husband. Any advice? Co-sleeping is making me anxious!

Would you take your baby put of the car seat in traffic

We were driving home from pur vacation and at the end our baby was seriously crying. We were stuck in traffic, so i took the baby out of the car seat (i was sitting in the back next to it) and put it back when we were moving faster again. Would you bave done that? Have you been in a similar situation before?

For the last few days every time I put my 5 week old down he just cries, sometimes screams. I can’t get anything done. Any tips?
