Mamas and Papas Ocarro pram

Hi, girls. I have seen a lot of good reviews here about Ocarro pram, and decided to buy it. It is very functional and I like it, however, it seems quite heavy (13.8 kg). I checked other prams (like egg2, red kite etc) and they seem to be much lighter. If you chose Ocarro over the lighter prams, could you please let me know its advantages, which overweighted its heaviness compared to other prams and why you decided to go with it despite the fact that it is heavy?

Great off road, very sturdy (used it to carry loads of stuff into glastonbury festival and it was great), the one hand fold is also a dream and so easy to use. The only time you notice the weight is getting it in the car, and I just tend to swing it in.

I also wanted one that’s lighter but ended up going for ocarro as it’s sturdier, and there are many potholes/ roads are bad where I live so I think it’s useful for this. I will be leaving the pram in my car rather than haul it up and down to the flat so I’m not too bothered about the weight ☺️

Haven't used mine yet (obv - FTM) but I did like the ocarro but like you just felt it was too heavy for me (even just the parts that go with it) & I just felt that I'd want a lighter pram come 18months ...so we ended up going with nuna triv next as it is super light, cheaper and I can see us (hopefully) using it for a few years. It has a super easy fold down and really compact. I think if I'm going to be going super off road would only be for small walks so I would use a sling - so light pavement walks I am hoping is fine for this one 🤞

I have this pram haven't used it yet but seemed great in store 🤩

I tested out the Ocarro in the store just this weekend gone and it does feel great in terms of sturdiness but I went for the lighter option, Flip XT3 which is 11kg and I felt it was quite sturdy too. Not purchased yet but will in the coming weeks. I might check out a couple more before I fully commit!
