PCOS, weight loss, tummy tuck

I got diagnosed with PCOS when I was 20, I've also dealt with Binge eating disorder untill I got it under control about 3 years ago. I'm 5'1" and at my heaviest I was 254 lbs, because of the pcos most my my weight was held in the lower part of my belly. My lowest weight was 165 lbs, but I had my second baby 6 months ago so I'm still working on losing the last 15ish lbs of baby weight, currently at 180.
Lately I've been getting these huge, painful heat rashes under my belly, where my excess skin in. I shower regularly, I do my best to keep the area dry, I even bought that LUME deodorant hoping that would help but it seems to be making it worse. Has anyone had success with having insurance cover a lower belly skin removal for this kind of situation? Is it worth it? Recovery time? I'm also sober from opiates so I'm worried about pain management after procedure.

I’d definitely talk to the surgeon who did it , I know mine said he could get it covered, and talk about pain management option

I haven't had anything done yet, I'm looking for what to ask my dr and how to bring it up. The skin is from losing weight. Sorry I probably could have worded that better lol

Yes , my weight loss surgery told me after a year and providing proof off skin issues he could get it covered through the insurance

But I’d start by getting all the information and doing some research aswell about the pain meds and see if there is a different treatment or medication
