Constipation, pain crying, gas, colic and goats milk formula

Has anyone seen an improvement in all the above by switching to goats milk formula? Our gp has been beyond useless and we are now in our 8th week of 8 hours plus pain crying daily from her tummy. Lactulose and all colic remedies tried. We’ve used kendamil and aptamil comfort milk only so far.

Bless you. We had similar problems with our boy. He wasn’t crying as much as your little one though. But all the same symptoms. We tried everything from over the counter like Infacol, dentinox, gripe water etc. the doctor prescribed gaviscon but that made constipation worse. We tried sma comfort formula which didn’t help but then switched to kendamil and use the optibac drops as well now. Things are much better for us. Have you tried the optibac drops? X

We have, she’s been on them since 2 weeks and we haven’t seen any improvement, we are at our wits end with getting no help from the Gp. We don’t know what else to do, cannot cope with seeing her cry in pain for this long everyday for much longer.

Feel your pain as my LO is the same 😔 we’ve been BFing and kendamil, now solely kendamil and just about to switch to an anti reflux milk as potentially silent reflux. Tried gaviscon, infacol, optibac all no good. Gripe water does relieve her discomfort enough to sleep sometimes so maybe try if you haven’t already? My LO also had a strong tongue tie which we had cut privately yesterday. Hope you get to the bottom of it soon xx

Did anyone else’s epidural not work?

Writing retrospectively here. I had a epidural with my 1st baby in 2025 and it pretty much had no effect, I was in absolute agony the whole time (hours). Anyone else experience this?

Midwife now says this isn’t normal and I shouldn’t have been in pain.
Due my 2nd in 6 weeks and debating weather I should go for one again. 😣

Am I killing my supply?

So my almost 2 month old has started sleeping for 5.5 hours before waking for his first feed of the night. I usually get him to bed around 10 or 11 right after pumping from both sides and bottle feeding. When he wakes up in the night, either 3:30am or 4:30am, he only eats from one boob then he's back to sleep for another 3 hours. I'll still be engorged in both when he wakes btw. So that means that only one of my boobs is getting emptied throughout the whole night. Basically my question is will this kill my supply?? In one boob or both? What about when he starts sleeping through the night do I need to wake myself up to pump once a night to keep my supply? I still feed/pump every 2 hours or so during the day. But I just don't want to kill my supply because I'm doing the night-time feeds wrong.

Help I need milk

I am 5 weeks pp and struggling even producing an oz. I have two other children 10 and 8 that breast fed for yrs and it was never a problem. I have not had an appetite since I gave birth so eating might be an issue. But I’m also very stressed with my relationship. Any tips I appreciate.

Lactation suppression

I do not want to breastfeed (please don't ask me why) i just don't want to. I just found out the NHS no longer prescribe cabergoline and instead recommended cabbage leaves 😞 anyone know how I can get a cabergoline prescription or anything else I may be able to ask for or get to stop lactation. Happy to pay private prices

Hunger cues…

Mommas, what’s your babies hunger cues in the night? My little one is 3 months old and has 1 bottle in the night but I don’t know her cues. She stirs a lot so I’m still not getting any good rest as any little noise wakes me up. What are the signs your babies do? Or have done? She moves and I just instantly think she needs a bottle?!
