Did anyone else’s epidural not work?

Writing retrospectively here. I had a epidural with my 1st baby in 2025 and it pretty much had no effect, I was in absolute agony the whole time (hours). Anyone else experience this?

Midwife now says this isn’t normal and I shouldn’t have been in pain.
Due my 2nd in 6 weeks and debating weather I should go for one again. 😣

Mine had the opposite effect it worked too well and numbed me up to my neck so it had to be turned off completely and they never gave it back to me..this was in August with my 3rd baby but first epidural

Yes! Only they tried mine 3 times over my 28hr labour and none of them worked!!

No idea if it’s the same sort of thing as anaesthesia but if you maybe have red hair? I’ve heard about anaesthesia not working on red heads? Xxxx

Mine didn’t work and when I told the midwife it was too much she called an got it replaced. The second work like a charm

Sort of.. Mine stopped working halfway through, I stupidly assumed it “only did so much” when it came to pain haha I remember thinking Jesus, imagine how painful this would be without the epidural… 😂 turns out it had just come out 🤦‍♀️

Did anyone check it at the time?

At what point do the breasts stop getting big during exclusive breastfeeding 😒I am 12 weeks, and they seem to still get big. One breast seems bigger than the other ones. It is stressing me out.

How many words is good for 18 months? My child says 22 words that I’ve counted and I feel proud but is this just average lol

Wake windows a myth for some?

My baby seems to laugh in the face of wake windows. We wake around 6-7am, he might fall asleep after his breakfast feed for a little bit but his only other long nap is our lunchtime walk in the carrier. Otherwise he is awake for hours on end but seemingly quite happy.

If anyone has a newborn who also doesn’t conform to the whole 60m rule, don’t worry, your baby isn’t broken and you’re not doing anything wrong, just go with their flow!

Bassinet for newborn

Hi all! So we have a stroller (maxi cosí) but it doesn’t have the bassinet with it.. I’m wondering if it’s essential for when baby is tiny and wants to sleep.. does my normal seat being in recline mode enough for this? Thanks!
