Stressing about cervical exam

I know you can decline but I feel like I’ve been having contractions off and on for a week or two now so I’m going to do it this one time and then decline the others but everyone says how painful it is and it has me very anxious. I have my GBS test and last growth scan tomorrow also.

yeah that’s all I been seeing on top of spotting afterwards😭😭 def not looking forward to it but also super curious on effacement and dilation

But just do it and get it over with 😭 the pain won’t compare to contractions is what I’m hearing

Mine didn’t hurt however I did bleed most of the day after and I got really bad cramps

I didn’t bleed after not everyone bleeds after I am currently 1cm dilated

Got mine done today finally and I’m 4 cm dilated 38 weeks. It wasn’t painful just relax your legs and body

Mine didn’t hurt at all. Just take deep breaths and don’t fight against their hand.

Mine didn't hurt at all! No bleeding after or anything. Everyone is different but i think pap smears are far more uncomfortable!

I’ve had a few checks and they don’t really hurt, they’re more uncomfortable than anything. I’ve never experienced spotting after them but that is normal. I only had cramping after my last one which hurt more than the check but didn’t last long and is normal as well. The GBS test is really quick and not that bad, the swab is really small. Good luck!

It hurts, it's uncomfortable, but your doctor will stop if you tell them to. Don't stress about it try it and if you can't do it that's ok

It didn’t hurt me. It was a lot of pressure tho. Nothing painful, just uncomfortable and it o lý last about a minute long

My first one (36 weeks) wasn’t uncomfortable or painful at all and I didn’t have any spotting after, my second one (37 weeks) was a little uncomfortable but not painful and I did have some spotting after. I definitely plan on getting them done at each appointment though since the first time I was not dilated at all and cervix was firm, and a week later I was 1.5cm dilated and cervix was soft and it was so reassuring to know things are progressing :)

I had one today! I’m 36+6 I also had my GBS test as well. It didn’t hurt at all. I also had one at 32 weeks and 34 weeks bc I was contracting and they thought I was in preterm labor. So those ones did hurt a tad, just a lot of pressure really and I did have spotting at those checks. Today tho I didn’t have any spotting and I was 2cm and 50% thinned. Just relax your body and breathe if you tense up it’ll make it more painful. Also helps if your doctor has smaller fingers as well. 😂 just an fyi the GBS test goes in your vag and booty. But isn’t painful and goes so quick.

I don’t think it hurts at all, just a little uncomfortable. I love knowing how many centimeters dilated I am! How did it go for you?

Its uncomfy but i lost my mucus plug right after the second cervical check

I’m honestly torn too. I haven’t been having a lot of contractions or anything noticeable. But my doctor is not available after my next appointment until after my due date. So part of me wants her to check so I know baby won’t be making any moves until she’s back but I also desperately do not want any cervical exams because of the infection risk and because it’s painful enough to have anything else in there that I can’t imagine how painful this would be.

It’s more just uncomfortable. If you can find a way to relax your legs/hips, it makes it a lot easier. You kinda just have to force yourself to breathe and remind yourself to relax. I haven’t spotted with any of mine (been checked 4 times).

Mine kind of hurt because i didn’t expect my doctor to be knuckle deep like that haha but it’s mostly u comfortability. Just breathe and don’t fight it or tense up. I had mine three days ago and I’m still kinda spotting

Mine hasn’t hurt either time. And I’m sensitive down there. Everyone is different and every doctor is different

I got mine done I’m 1cm dilated been having small contractions on and off for weeks now. It hurt but once it was done it didn’t hurt and I had no cramping or bleeding after. You got this :)

They are so quick! Mine are not painful at all just a little uncomfortable but they are over before you even know it!

I just got back from mine and yeah I was scared for no reason. I just didn’t tense up and did my breathing. Pap smears were 100x more uncomfortable for me

I'm so not meant to be a mother.

My kids won't listen to me get into stuff when they know they aren't supposed to. Telling me no all the time. Only listen to their dad. Laughs when I correct them. I spend most of my time yelling at them because they don't want to listen to me at all. My husband said that I shouldn't have kids. And I am believing him on it. I was never meant to be a mother now. I won't hurt my kids I just want to disappear and make everyone else's lives better without me.

One and done… or not?

32ftm. I’m starting to feel so much pressure to have another baby soon as I wean from breastfeeding so they can be close in age and be friends, but I don’t feel ready for pregnancy and newborn trenches again 😭 my husband and I are all we’ve got. Having just one baby without a village has been really tough. Am I being unrealistic wanting another one soon?

Tests

So I had a blood test at the drs bc I keep getting positive tests when the blood test was negative what could this mean? Hubby says the tests are negative and said he can’t see anything. Negative image down below.

Am I pregnant?

I lightly spotted almost 5 days ago, which is not common for me before my period.
My period was supposed to come today. I should have tested in the morning but its 5:30pm.
Is there a second line??

Anyone have this happen before?

We were not trying to conceive, used protection and had sex on week 2 of my cycle (accidentally on my peak ovulation day). Week 3 we had Flu A. Week 4 my period did not come (it’s very regular). I tested and it was negative (2 different brands).
What should have been week 2 of my next cycle (now 6 weeks post last period), I had light red/ pink spotting for one day when I wiped. The following week, I tested again, still negative, but this time almost all the dye was in the negative space, which I’ve never seen happen before. The area where it shows one horizontal line for negative and a plus sign for positive, the horizontal line was super faded at the 3 minute mark, and the negative vertical line in the next window was VERY dark. Now I’m on week 8 of all this, period did not show up yesterday. Nothing in my life has changed (no additional stress, no other illness, no changes in diet or exercise, etc).

Has anyone gone through this and NOT been pregnant? I’m super nervous as we thought we were done having kids.

PS. I know I should go get a blood test, does anyone know if urgent care will do that? I’m past being convinced by a pee test.
