Hey so I’m currently 34 weeks and for the last 4 weeks baby has been measuring small. At my last OB appointment they requested me to book another ultrasound and see them in 2 weeks to talk about induction options.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What can I expect?

Hi! I was induced at 38+4 because of reduced movement and gestational diabetes, baby was measuring huge- 9lbs!
I was checked and 3cm with bulging waters so they broke my waters straight away and started me on the drip.
I did ask for an epidural but for me it didn’t work, it numbed one leg from the hip down but nothing else so i was stuck in bed feeling every contraction 🤦🏼♀️
Contractions were painful but i had no further pain relief and just breathed through each one; taking one at a time!
I dilated fast (i was expecting ages with it been my first and an induction) i had waters broke at 10pm and by 4am i was fully dilated. I pushed from 5am but ended up with forceps because baby was struggling to stay down when pushed down, couldn’t get her over the last hurdle!
Thankfully the forceps weren’t horrific- despite the horror stories! I cried when they said i needed them.
Baby was born at 7am only weighing 5lbs!
I had only heard bad things about induction but i had a positive experience 🙂
