Night sleep

Those of you whose babies go to bed relatively early (7-8pmish) do they sleep through the night?

My LO has just started sleeping through from 10-7ish and I'm loving it, but obviously in a month or two it's recommended they have a earlier bedtime so wasn't sure whether to try and bring my LOs forward gradually or just carry on as it's working for us now.

My little boy is 11 weeks old and he goes to bed anywhere between 7-8pm depending on his feed and he sleeps through until around 5.30/6am and then he goes back to sleep for around an hour. We have to have an earlier bed time because he gets crabby if we try and keep him up so would rather put him down earlier and then hopefully he will sleep past 6 am with time xx

My 11 week old goes to bed at 7:30 sleeps until 12/1am has a bottle and then another one at about 4:30am. Then wakes for the day between 7 and 8. Can’t wait for him to drop one (or both🫣) of those feeds through the night! X

My little boy (11weeks) doesn’t sleep that early but atm sleeps from about 10/11pm until maybe 5/6/7am but it suits our life atm so I would say don’t feel you have to change because it’s recommended because it might not suit your life do what you feel is right for you.. I tried for weeks and weeks going by guidance and books etc and got all stressed and panicked I wasn’t doing things properly until I decided to do it the way that worked for us and it’s been so much easier.. Also my little boy is breastfed and his original bedtime was anywhere between 2-4am in the morning and over the weeks he’s been bringing that back.. My advise just carry on and enjoy 🙂

As far as I'm aware there is no recommendation for a bedtime but rather they have a decent amount of sleep. Every child is different just as every adult is different. It's the social norm that kids have early bedtimes but it doesn't work for everyone.
We aren't morning people, we much prefer a lay in than an early night so my eldest who's 3 still doesn't go to bed until around 9/10pm and we wake around 8am we've done this from the very beginning and it works for us, our 3 month old has slotted into the same rough timings too x

My baby is 10 weeks. She goes to bed around 7/8, will wake around 2 for a feed then will go back off until 6ish, she will then have another feed and go back off until around 8ish xx

My LB is 8 weeks he sleeps 7/8pm, wakes up 1am, 3am, 6am, 8/9am for feeds snd nappy change

My boy generally goes to bed between 9 and 10 and will then wake between 6 and 6:30 - if he goes earlier he wakes earlier!

My 13 week old goes down at 7.30, dream fed between 10-11 and wakes around 6am for next feed xx

All your babies sleep so well 😂 mine needs to get the memo. Mine sleeps/settles around 9 then awake at 11, 2 and 4 for feeds/comfort/woke himself up trying to shit. Then he’s in my bed with me on the boob from 5/6 until 7/8 depending how tired I am

Thanks everyone - will definitely keep it how it is for now then as not going to lie, loving my 9 hours of sleep 🤣

Will see if she brings it earlier naturally herself over time (hoping the 4 month regression isn't too much of a killer).

there's not yet, I think its 'recommended' from about 4 months to have an earlier bed time. I'm not a morning or night person, I love my sleep so hoping little girl takes after me and keeps it up!

this is what worries me! Don't want her to wake earlier!

ha ha well I don’t breastfeed anymore but I have the same routine - goes to bed at 8 approx and he is awake for food at 11 then 2 am then 4 am then 6 am - he wakes up to eat , to fuss and to cry, also to do 1000 poops and etc! Ugh - a gift that keeps on giving 😫

My little lady has always slept through the night since birth and is now 12 weeks. It stared with her bedtime being around 10pm sleeping until 5/6am. We gradually brought her bedtime forward by 30mins every 3/4 nights and she now is sleeping 8-7.30. She didn’t seem to notice the changed at all.

I just go by him, we’re lucky with his sleeping at the moment so if there’s an odd day he goes down early like 7, j don’t mind getting up early to feed him 😂 I’m leaving it as is for now.. I don’t know if they’re meant to have 12 hours or anything but he’s good for now!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
