Period pains - could it be the start?

I know what you mean it's all mind games our bodies are playing with us 😆 I've had period type pains on and off for around a week and I had a check 2 days ago and I'm 2cm. Midwife said the period pains are my cervix dilating and I'm in early labour ... so this could be you! Xx

@Amanda I had a stretch and sweep yesterday, and from around 5ish this morning had what I can only describe as the dull ache you get really low down when having your period. I managed to get some sleep and now they've gone. The midwife did say I was 3cm dilated when she did the sweep and she could feel babies head. My cervix wasn't fully effaced and was higher up but was soft and stretchy and she said the sweep was a good sweep x

Yeah I've been having period-like cramps today and felt like I've needed to poop loads but not feeling like baby is putting pressure on my downstairs or anything yet. I'm 39+4 and am trying so hard to keep thinking baby will come when she's ready but it's so hard! I think sometimes we know/are highly aware of too much xx

Oh same I have been having them for a few days then they just stop. I just want them to ramp up instead of teasing us xx😂

I have been getting them on and off for like 2 weeks only 35 weeks xx

Oh gosh this isn’t filling me with hope that anything will happen anytime soon 😂 good to know I’m not alone though!

It’s called latent Labour and can happen for a while
