I had an elective Caesarian over 4.5 months ago now. My lower stomach still feels slightly numb and I don’t feel like I have full sensation back. As if it’s still a little tingly when I touch it. Anyone else’s stomach feel this way and is this normal this far on?

Yes!! It makes me cringe the feeling of it, my doctor said completely normal as they sever the nerves and can take up to a year for the feeling to come completely back x

My scar stings too

Same! I went for a mummy MOT and they recommended sone light massage you can do yourself to bring sensation back

Yep mine is still very numb and sometimes hurts a little. My mum said hers is still numb 30 years later :o

Yeah I know people who have the numbness still 20+ years later too!

Mine still hurts often and feels numb. 4 months ago also. That’s not a long time and your muscles have literally been cut apart. Nerve endings won’t ever feel the exact same again but as the years go on they will change and you’ll get sensations again or maybe new ones. It’ll be manageable.

Yep mines the same and get the occasional sting/shooting pain in the corner

I think it's totally normal, mines the same and my friend had hers a year ago and still doesn't have full feeling back x

My Caesarian was nearly 5 months ago and mine is Eva you the same! Scar heeled perfects within a month but the sensation is not the same at the lower end of my stomach. My sister has had two Caesarian’s , latest one 5 years ago and she said hers is still like that! Think that’s the normal feeling now x
