What could be wrong 😢

Baby boy is 4 days old and we are having pretty sleepless days and nights. He usually sleeps well in the day but we use that time to get stuff sorted.
At night all he wants to do is feed. He feeds for a while and then sleeps on the boob. I feel like I put him down for two minutes and I can hear him making sucking noises and then he cries and eats again. Repeat until 5am. Could something else be wrong? We check nappies and follow guidance for safe sleeping.
Someone tell me I’m not alone!!

This sounds familiar to me! Our wee one is 3 weeks old on Sunday and I feel like he’s cluster fed pretty much since birth. Then he’s had the odd day where his feeding is more 2-3 hrs apart and I feel like a semi normal human again (kinda). But yesterday morning he was literally on and off the boob for four hours straight after a sleepless night… cried as soon as i took him off…Today I started wondering is this normal?! And I’ve been checking his temp and analysing him! But from what I’ve read it is pretty normal at this stage, you can always check in with your midwife if you’re concerned? Anyhoo just thought I’d reach out and say I’m with ya there and it will get bettering

*Better even 😂 (sleep deprived)

Sounds super similar to us… baby boy is 5 days old (born 27th) and sleeps okay during day. during night it is much harder to put him down to settle in his crib and he finally does about 5.30am. All I know is that it’s very normal for newborns to basically be nocturnal, it’s just tough on us until things settle x

I'm experiencing the same, although bottle feeding. My baby is three weeks old - sleeps a lot during the day but crying for a feed every two hours at night. I used to think something was wrong but it's normal. It is very tough but won't last forever x

Im also having the same, my little lad was born on the 28th! Can I just saying seeing all of the other women commenting on this post at this time of night makes me feel a little less alone with this ❤️❤️

We have had nights like this with our little girl, she cluster fed and I was so exhausted. We are trying to get her to wake up for a bit before bed to tire her as she was having awake periods nearly all night

Thanks ladies! I agree, it’s so comforting knowing we are all going through this together!

My little boy (15 days pp) went through a phase of that. Wake up about 1am and then constant on off feeds until 7am.

He has now changed pattern to once every 4ish hours, but they can be long feeds taking up to 2hrs with burping and switch boobs etc.

Best advice = get sleep when you can even if it is daylight. It does get better, just need to get through those initial growth spurts that make them ravenous little beasts :)

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
