It was so bad where I couldn’t breath or talk felt like throwing up so I went to the hospital they put a monitor on me and said I’m having small contractions and to come back if they are 5 minutes apart! Did ultrasound to see if she was head down and she was!

I went to the hospital 3 times in one night before my daughter was born and was sent home the first 2 times bc I wasn't in "active labor". If it's that painful tho, baby will probably be here soon! You might even wanna walk around the hospital for a while instead of going home just in case!

the only thing I feel iffy about why did they need to do an ultrasound to check if she was head down, was that normal? I asked them that and they were like we don’t have to we are just doing it cuz you are here, baby is absolutely fine

its a safety thing for the delivery team. They will sometimes run ultrasounds to make sure baby is head down so that if they do need to deliver the baby they know if he/she is in the right position. Its better for them to know than to start active labor and have complications because they never checked which way baby was facing
