Pumping on the go

My partner and I are finding a bit more confidence to be out and about with bubs. The only issue is we're exclusively pumping. I've been lucky enough to be able to produce enough milk via pumping for bubs but find myself stuck at home or constantly stressed about my next pump while out and about.

Breastfeeding is not an option as we haven't had a great experience as a family.

Does anyone have recommendations for portable pumps? I understand that they're not the best to get the most out of a pump but something to use when travelling or in public so we don't need to rush home l.

I highly recommend the Ella by Mumilk, it’s a great size to fit into the bar, so really convenient on the go. It’s not badly priced, around $300 for two. I’ve found it pumps really well. It drains me completely!

Thanks for the recommendation @Megan

Mon Lait have the exact same model as the Ella for under 200 dollars! Have a look on eBay and Amazon for the same model, they’re not patented as they’re all the same hardware and motors just cosmetic difference!

monlait is slightly different, has an extra mode, so may actually be better? However the ones on Amazon are the same as the Ella, but I’ve read the reviews as I went to purchase another set to save having to clean mine so many times a day & they weren’t great. Some said they were missing parts & some said they stopped working after a few weeks. So make sure to read the reviews before purchasing off Amazon.

The spectra S1 is hospital grad and you could pump in the car it has 3hr battery life.
My lactation consultant recommended this. I'm pumping and breastfeeding. But at this rate breastfeeding may not continue.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
