Is anyone planning on swaddling their baby or or we essentially canceling the swaddle now?

I was planning on it. Why are we canceling it? 👀
They’re saying it’s not safe anymore

I’m planning to.

I still plan to. I swaddled my first for maybe the first 4 weeks? Then I put her in a bag

Did with my son and plan to this time. People are crazy. Swaddle If you want

I've never heard that swaddling is unsafe, unless you're doing it once they can roll. Swaddled my first two, will absolutely swaddle this baby as well.

Swaddling has been done since essentially the beginning of time! As long as your baby hasn’t started to roll yet. The biggest thing to avoid/cancel that I see is the weighted swaddles/sleep sacks due to safety, but I think swaddling in and of itself is just fine

I used the love to dream swaddle with my first. I hatedddddd the traditional swaddle it was too much work for my tired self especially fighting an active leggy baby. Will be using that swaddle with my second.

I just took a newborn class and they said it’s safe and preferred until they can roll

We took the newborn care class offered by the hospital we will be delivering at. They said its a safe practice. They actually taught us how to swaddle on dummy babies/mannequins since we will be doing this for the first 3-4 months when they are in the bassinet & cant rollover. Once they start rolling over, we transition them out from bassinet to the crib, and no more swaddling is needed.

I have not seen any information stating it is unsafe until they can roll. We will opt to swaddle.

Couldn't have lived without swaddling my first 2...DEF plan to swaddle this one !
