I been trying to get my son to latch on to my breast since he came out. He will be a month on the 15th. He doesn’t like my breast at all. If he even gets near my breast he has at fit. My plan was to breast feed him but left me no choice but to use formula because my milk supply is low. I only pump 2 ounces and that’s just only one breast… idk what to do anymore.

Have you gone to see a lactation consultant? They’re a huge help! My hospital offered them and I was struggling after birth so I saw one. They are a lifesaver!!

I was having the same issue but my hospital has breastfeeding classes on mondays, maybe reach out to ur hospital to see if they have something like that.
Buy these nipple shields from
Walmart and try to latch your baby for 5-10 min on each side. Then pump each side for 15 min. Then formula feed. Do this every three hours, should help your supply and the baby will get more used to your boobs. I hope this helps!!

Has he been checked for lip and tongue ties? Also want to add how much you pump does NOT indicate how much supply you have. With past children I have tried pumping and only got about 2oz from both together on average. Sometimes got more and sometimes less. With my now 5 year old this was the case BUT I had plenty of supply as she was always on the breast on demand and she was gaining weight just fine and I breastfeed her til just before her 2nd birthday (like 10 days before)

Lactation specialists are a huge help and depending on where you are (I’m in Canada) you can get different professionals to help you gain confidence in what you do. Sometimes it doesn’t take much for you to get things moving and your baby to work with you. It’s all team work and he is also learning. I’ve been breastfeeding for 3 months and a week and it’s been going well but I was struggling at the beginning despite the help I got and info I was told before hand. One thing that helped is what my mom told me about 2 weeks after giving birth. She said when you breastfeed you need to take a breath and just be with your baby. Think about your good healthy milk going to your baby feeding his body.
As for the pumping, it’s the same thing you need to be calm and try to relax while you do it. I sit in a comfy chair or bed and if my baby’s crying I try to calm her down with a gentle voice saying things like you’re hungry yes I know, it’s ok it’s coming soon, you’ll feel better soon.

Uhm. Pumping two oz at one time from one breast?? That’s GREAT. Even if that’s all day, that’s not bad at all. I pump about that from two breasts and exclusively breastfeed right now! :)
Also, pumping is NOT an indicator of how much your producing. Your pump will NEVER get out as much milk as baby. Babies are sooooo efficient and good at expressing your milk, and they get out much more than you’ll ever be able to pump.
Check for lip & tongue ties. They have a huge impact on how baby latches. My boy had 5 ties & releasing them did a WORLD of good!
Try an SNS system instead of bottlefeeding to get baby to start latching. I used the slowest feeder tube set while using one for the first two weeks while supplementing in the hospital. This way baby doesn’t get too used to a bottle.
1000000% recommend looking into a good local lactation consultant. Ask on FB for your area for recommendations so you can ensure you get an amazing one!
My baby will be one month on the 12th!

2oz is pretty much all baby needs right now per feed. If you were pumping 5oz you'd be over producing

Pump every time he gets a bottle so you can increase your supply so eventually you can exclusively pump and fees your milk in a bottle
