Working out with baby?

Ideally would like to start loosing some of my baby weight now but genuinely just don’t know where to find the time? Where does everyone fit a work out in? I just feel like there’s never enough time as I spend most of his naps either with him in the pram or trying to get through washing and then by time he’s in bed I’m exhausted!

I go twice a week to the gym. A Monday night once OH gets home from work at 5 and then a Saturday morning at 7.30am. He also has 2 set evenings in the week to do his exercise. Every night we still eat dinner together.

I go 4 times a week, twice before everyone wakes and twice at the weekend when my partner is home with us

I am with my baby 24/7. He's EBF and feeds every 1.5h and I really don't know how I'd find the time to exercise! I know you can prioritise but at the moment I try to do housework instead x

So it's tricky but you have to be intentional. I have started doing 10ksteps daily and exercising at least 2-3 times weekly. These include a 30 mins run or gym before hubby goes to work. I have also now started working out with my baby at home using him as my weights.

I exercise during baby's first nap. I prioritise exercise over the housework 😆 My husband helps with that when he's not at work. And I do some housework while baby's awake if she's content.

same with me during the week and honestly I feel like I can’t fully settle until at least most of the mess is gone so I usually pick that over everything else!

yeah I think that’s key, I find if I decide in advance to go a walk then I’m more inclined to do it. He naps 2 hours at a time so can definitely fit a decent walk in for one of them! Ohh I like including him in a work out, he’d probably love it 😂

Have you looked into whether your local gym does parent and baby classes? My gym does 3 a week so I go to them and then try and go once on my own at the weekend too and get out for walks when I can.
Like you I can't focus on anything else if my house is untidy so I always end up prioritising that over a home work out which is why my gym classes are so good!

I have just started this week doing home workouts as my LG has finally started taking a 1 long nap in the morning. So I do a workout straight after she is down. Then I'll do whatever housework needs doing

I know how you feel. My son contact naps during the day and when he’s awake he is very clingy. During the night he wakes often. So I feel like I don’t have no time to exercise.
For me first step is to start having dinner and evenings back with my husband. Then consider fitting in exercise.

I do home work outs. Right next to baby whilst she’s on her play mat. She seems content that way because I’m right there and I’m still able to engage with her and she can even join in. When I finish with a bit of Pilates she will smack me and grab my hair though 😂😂

My baby feeds every hour and their dad works 10am-10pm 5 days a week so no time! With all wake ups of my 2 year old plus baby at night it's a miracle I leave the house 😂
I babywear them out and about and tend to speedwalk. They only nap on me 😅

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet driving them mad?? It goes off 5/6 times night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off! Anyone had similar issues?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.
