My little girl was due 9/1, but due to rapid weight gain, sudden high blood pressure, and excess swelling on mommy’s end I got induced on 8/31!
Came in at 6am to the hospital, got my first dose of cytotec at 730 and then second at 1130. The first dose did nothing because the night shift nurse didn’t inform me I was supposed to lay down for the first hour. Second dose got me to a three and then my OB came and broke my water! After many hours of consistent contractions, I had only gotten to a 4 by 8pm 🙄 They said I should start Pitocin, so I got my epidural after an hour of those contractions. And that hour and the epidural placement was the most painful part of my whole labor, but after that I was able to sleep until 130 with my nurse rotating my position every thirty minutes. At 145, they checked me and little lady’s head was at +3 station 😂 two contractions and four pushes later, Everly Joy was born at 1:50 am on her due date! She was 7lb 7oz and 19 3/4 inches long.
It was a long long day, but she was so so worth it. ❤️

Congrats mama! She's precious...so glad to hear you had a safe delivery

Congratulations she’s so beautiful

Congrats! Did they use the peanut when rotating your positions after the epidural? That really helped me progress as well

She is soooo cute

thanks for sharing! My OB is talking about inducing at 39 weeks (I’m 36+4 today) because of LGA and my gestational diabetes and I am feeling so stressed & nervous! We need more positive stories like this❤️ Everly is a gorgeous name for a gorgeous girl, congrats mama!

Thanks ladies 🤗🤗
yes! I did use the peanut ball! I used it with my second born too! I swear by it after the epidural!
I know! I feel like everyone always shares the big, bad, ugly induction stories and you rarely see a good one! I did manifest a lot of positive energy this month before delivery and telling myself that regardless of how it happened, she was gonna be here— safe and healthy. Thank you so much and good luck momma❤️

So beautiful! Congratulations! I love her name - Everly Joy welcome to the world

Beautiful 😍 congratulations!!!!

Cute congratulations momma 💕💕
